Chevy trucks are a hot collecting trend right now but amidst the scramble to collect the (ahem) avalanche of vintage Squarebodies, Stepsides and more being issued by the likes of Hot Wheels, Auto World, M2 and Greenlight, I don’t see a lot of love for the Avalanche.

I love big wagons (as well as big sedans), and Greenlight replica of this very iconic car is quite good. It could have been even better, but it fills a gap, specially for 80's and 90's kids.

The Bongo Friendee is one of my favourite Tomica castings. It’s a solid lump of metal and has the fantastic ‘Auto Free Top’ extendable roof for great play value. It also comes in paint finishes that reflect real-life colours, complete with the correct graphics

The Hot Ones series in 2011 and 2012 had some really cool cars in it with vintage Hot Wheels decos. It is a nod to the original Hot Ones mainline sub-series that came out in the early 80’s. The castings that we used in this throwback style series were hit and miss. This one is a hit for sure

Hot Wheels have always done a sterling service to air cooled Volkswagen enthusiasts. The Beetle and T1 and T2 vans have been present in various forms for a while in a multitude of Hot Wheels lines. The Type 181. The Variant "Squareback". I could go on. Even the VW Brasilia has featured.
