The Lamley Daily: 2014 Hot Wheels 1990 Honda Civic EF

Model: Hot Wheels 1990 Honda Civic EF

Line: 2014 Basic New Models

Where to get it: daiHot Wheels Honda Civic EF on ebay

Why it’s in the collection: I figured I would show this one before Civic EF fever hits with the release of the white version for 2017.  It is nice to see the white model return to the stock look, but it, and any subsequent color, cannot top this teal release, the second color of 2014.

Trouble with the B pillar tampo notwithstanding, this model is an all-timer.  The teal with red stripe just pops, and it is, if you didn’t know, a stock Honda color from that era.  As long as Ryu Asada is designing at Hot Wheels, Honda will have a presence.  This Civic might be king though.

  1. Awesome 1990 Honda civic EF hatchback you open up and reviewed congrats thumbs up. I like it and I love it thumbs up.

  2. I bought a bunch of these when they came out because it hit home. I owned a 90 Civic hatch. Mine was white. So needless to say I will be buying a ton of the white also. But for me, this car will always be trumped by one other Civic. The second gen (88-91) CR-X.

  3. I only have bought the HW City NightBurnerz 1990 Honda EF with red body colour but, i hope i will get this “KING” one very soon

  4. I too can’t wait for a white one, but if Ryu is watching, if we get a “stock” 90 Civic, perhaps we could have Chianti Red Metallic as a color choice soon enough, that would match the same bodyshape AND one of the best one year colors available then in that “egg” era Civic shape. Yes, I owned a stockker with a 5 speed, always wanted to keep it and gently soup it up, but that went out the door with a crash and an engine.

  5. Glad I got this one! I couldn’t ask for a better color, but might entertain a wheel swap in the future if some nice 80’s tastic wheels pop up. Can’t wait for an EG hatch if and when it comes. I’d make one into a performance machine and one into a hypermiler VX. 🙂
