Model: Norev 3-inches Subaru Impreza
Release: GTI Tuners Advan
eBay link: Norev GTI Tuners
Why I’m featuring it: I have Subaru Impreza WRX STIs in 1:64/3-inch scale by quite a few manufacturers in my collection, including the AutoRozza that I showed as a Lamley Daily last year. This Norev (originally sold as an Impreza WRC) is one of the more unusual.

For this issue, it’s not even billed as an Impreza – there’s no mention of Subaru on the box or on the base, and Subaru/FHI isn’t listed as one of the credited licensees for this GTI Tuners series.

I know nothing about the series, but it appears to have been a collaboration with French tuning magazine, Super GTI Mag. Many of the other models are in shocking colour schemes, like a nasty pink Citröen Xsara. This caged Impreza has the classic Advan red and black though, and it looks pretty cool. The rims wouldn’t be my first choice, but at least they’re true to the tuner theme.

Here’s the metal base. Compare that with the Subaru-marked plastic base of the Gendarmerie version of the Impreza, from the regular Norev 3-inches lineup.

The police version is a really nice model and with those properly sized, gold-spoked wheels, it’s arguably even more appealing than the Advan.

And that’s all I have to say about the Advan Impreza, but if you have anything to add, please do so in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
