Collectors are excited about Tomica Premium recent releases closely associated with the popular Initial D anime such as this modified “SilEighty” driven by Mako Sato and her navigator Sayuki without the license unlike Dream Tomica with “upgraded” details.

The SilEighty is a modified version of the Nissan 180SX with the front end replaced by a Nissan S13 Silvia with about 400 produced by the auto shop Kids Heart in 1998 tuned for drifting. It is generally considered as an 180SX.

Been an Initial D fan, holding this SilEighty in 1/62 scale definitely reminds me of the battle between Mako and Takumi Fujiwara. The casting itself is perfect in Tomica Premium terms. Striking body color in Impact Blue, realistic plastic wheels that rolls extremely well with opening doors like a good old “Initial D” Tomica.

Although it’s the only Premium casting release for this month. The SilEighty is definitely worth the wait and also a nice addition to your Initial D Theme collection.

  1. People need to slow down with the Initial D connection. This model does not even use the same spoiler as in the story. Lol!
