A little something for weekend viewing, based on your feedback.  Think of this as the Lamley YouTube version of the Lamley Daily.

I think this is a nice model to start it off:

  1. Back in the ’70s Tomica released 2 versions (that I’m aware of) of this vehicle: an aqua version with a white plastic top and a light tan one with a brown top. Both versions had opening doors. A really nice casting if you can score one.

  2. I’m still in disbelief at how expensive the red and green (especially the red) versions of this casting are. I’m a fan of the casting, but there’s no way in hell they’re worth as much as they’re going for.

  3. In my opinion, Johnny Lightning knocked it out of the park with their version some years back (yellow is my personal fave). Ain’t exactly cheap on eBay, but more reasonable than some of the Matchbox versions, which I agree are way too expensive relative to the quality of the reproduction.
