Model: Tomica Limited Vintage Neo Nissan Fairlady 260ZE 2by2

Where to get it: Nissan Fairlady 2by2 at Japan Booster

Why it’s in the collection:  Because it is a Z Car, done by Tomica Limited Vintage.  That is a no-brainer for my collection.  TLV has done several 260Z, with G nose and without.  This particular BONE stock 260ZE in brown is particularly charming with those hubcaps. We have seen some with steelies, one with mag wheels, but these hubs are my favorite.

Whenever I am at Japanese car shows, the stock Z’s really make me smile.  It is such a joy to have such a dead-on replica of one.

  1. It’s a faithful rendition of the real thing, but in this case it’s the real thing I have a problem with, not the model of it. I always thought the 2+2 versions of the original Z-car looked ungainly and clumsy. The mild limo look never suited the shape well.
