Kyosho unveils cool new stackable display cases

Earlier this week we posted pics of the Tomica Limited Vintage display at the Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan.  You can imagine that TLV wasn’t the only diecast maker there.  There were a lot more, many of which you can see on the JL Hobby Facebook Page.

One that grabbed my attention was Kyosho.  Of course the upcoming Honda and GT-R releases were the most interesting, but I was most intrigued by the new stackable display cases:

They look like enormous clear legos with awesome cars in them.  I don’t know how they will be sold, and much they will cost, but they are coming.

They look to work best with Kyosho bases, which will keep the models from rolling around.  That works for me since many of the Kyosho models don’t roll.  But they will display beautifully.

I posted more pics of the Kyosho display taken by JL Hobby, including the upcoming Honda release.  Lots of cool stuff to be sure.

  1. These little display cases are called T-Bricks, and they are made by and available from Toyeast.com.

Toyeast.com also manufactures a neat line if 1/64 cars, vans, and buses called Tiny. These are mostly colorful vehicles as currently seen on the streets of Hong Kong. They are packaged in boxes similar to the way Tomica models are.

    They are very, very cool.
