Hot Wheels store exclusives are some of the best releases on the pegs. Their custom card art, unique paint schemes, and relative retail rarity make them desirable beyond the normal mainlines. Wal-Mart’s Fast & Furious line has become legendary for being scalped, their Zamacs are usually harder to find than regular hunts, and the Target Reds are just as cool. Wal-Mart has some solid annual lines, like the Camo cars and Stars & Stripes line, but they sneak in a few different mixes throughout the year — and the latest 5-car set is being gobbled up as fast as they hit the pegs.

Sadly, all this vehicles are missing lightbars, which is a big part of any emergency vehicle’s identity.
Miguel, I was coming on here to make the same comment. The artwork on the cards even show lightbars. This is the sort of thing that diminishes HW and Mattel. Cheap. If you can’t do it correctly, THEN DON’T DO IT!
I agree completely. They should have gone the extra mile to make this set really great.
I mention that same thing in the video. The lightbar is a big part of any police car and it is kind of a bummer to see the card art with them, and the castings without. I feel like Matchbox has a generous amount of castings with lightbars and Hot Wheels doesn’t have enough of them….but these cars are only just over $1, so I don’t expect new castings for a smaller, non-licensed store exclusive line.
However, I would have liked to see at least tampo “lightbars” on specific police cars like these. Micro Machines used to do that and I thought that was a clever way to “police” any casting. Like on this Camaro: https://ebay.to/33Wx2rJ

Well the real life Fairlady Z cop car is indeed for Kanagawa Prefecture Police but the Hot Wheels version reads 警視庁 means Metropolitan Police meaning it’s from the Tokyo Metro Police rather than the Kanagawa Pref. Police
