Why I am featuring it: This is actually a really cool set of 4 vehicles. For the wagon fans it has one of the best looking releases of the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser to come out so far. The Bronco is a Greenlight collector favorite. The VW is a nice version of the double cab. The Jeep though is the best looking in the set. The black and blue color scheme on it looks fantastic. I would say this is the best variation of this tooling to come out so far. I’m not a Jeep fan so the fact I am saying I like this one should mean something.

Full disclosure: Taking pictures of the set was fun too. I was trying to actually use the background as a diorama. I had to do quite a bit of photoshopping (with what I could on my iPhone) to get these pictures to look decent.

  1. I was into the MBX Olds Vista Cruiser before.. especially when John would feature them on here. I like the rare examples he displayed along with the unknown color variations, as well as some other releases not too common.

BUT WOW!!… This version hits it out of the park! I’m not a station wagon fan in heart, although there are some that grab your attention, but this Olds with that period green hue & sport stripe package, functional roof rack equipped with a funky surf board, but what tops it off.. it’s the awesome mag wheels!
It looks more like a muscle wagon which would make any beach bum look groovy rollin’ up to the surf!
