After a ton of fanfare, they are finally here. The first of will be many iterations of the 1973-1987 Chevy Pickup have been released by Auto World, and they are fantastic.
This might sound a tad hokey, but falling for Auto World has been one of the more fun developments of my collecting life. I am a bit more selective than many might think, and to commit to collecting everything a brand releases is not something I do. But I have for Auto World (and TLV, and that is it). AW makes it easy by not releasing a ton of stuff, but when they do, each model is fantastic, further expanding on a fleet of select American cars. They are a treat to put together.
And now we have pickups. The Chevys will dominate, with a current Ford coming. Add those to standard land yachts, wagons, muscle, and some current cool cars, and a great collection is formed.

I pre ordered Set B a month ago as I have a limit to 1 Auto World case a year (shipping costs mostly) but i’m glad I picked this one as there are so many greats in there.
I’m surprised about that dark blue Gulf Corvette as I was tempted to sell that one but i think I have changed my mind.
I hope Auto World branches into Dioramas at some point, A Modular car dealer would be nice to see. especially if it’s cheaper than the TLV ones.
