Call this a fun mixup. As Wheel Collectors was plowing through the pallet of N Cases Mattel sent, one at the bottom looked a little different. The code suggested a US Case, and even more so, a Zamac Case.
For a pallet that already produced the highly-anticipated Bugatti Chiron, as well as a surprising group of Supers from the previous M Case, an unexpected Zamac case was right in line.
So they opened it. And filmed it.

The playing card series of models has done literally nothing for me, but I gotta say it really pops when done in ZAMAC. The other two are definitely keepers as well.
They should have run that treatment on all the cars. Not ZAMAC, but silver works better, I think, than the base colors it initially released with.

I sure would like to find that McLaren ZAMAC. What a beauty! The other 2 I could take ’em or leave ’em. Noticed a few differences between the international and U.S. cases other than the ZAMACs. Mostly stuff added to the U.S. case, but it looks like there is no mainline blue McLaren 720S, just the ZAMAC.
That would be “purple” McLaren. Looks blue on screen.
I will be on the lookout for that Bugatti Chiron.
