Here is a call out to collectors to once again mobilize. The Hot Wheels Cycling Team once again are part of the Chef’s Cycle Event next month and will be be riding – and raising funds – for No Kid Hungry in their effort to end child hunger here in the US.
It is a worthy cause in and of itself, and I have witnessed numerous occasions when the collector community has mobilized to help those in need. For all of our quirks as a community, we know how to help, and we are pretty damn good at it.
But like last year’s No Kid Hungry fundraiser, there is a little perk. There is a limited number of the exclusive Tour de Fast models left. 48 to be exact. The model is housed in an exclusive acrylic case, and marked with the Chef’s Cycle and HW Cycling logo. It is an official HW release, with all proceeds going to No Kid Hungry.
So yes, you can donate directly at the Chef’s Cycle website, or you can grab one of the 48 remaining exclusives before they sell out. Sure, it isn’t a Datsun, but it is an official Hot Wheels model limited to only 300. Not bad for a tax-deductible donation that goes to a very worthy cause.
