Some cool new wagons are coming in 2018. Auto World’s entry is looking great.

New 1/64 wagon castings will be a highlight of 2018.  We have seen Hot Wheels’ new Skyline Wagon, and Matchbox has shared early versions of its upcoming 1964 Ford Fairlane Wagon.

There is bound to be a lot more.  Tomica Limited Vintage can always be counted on for a nice wagon or two, and I am sure there will be others.

Another that we know is coming, and one that I could not be more excited for, is the new 1974 Buick Estate Wagon.  Auto World shared the preproduction photos of their upcoming land yacht, and it looks fantastic.

They will be able to do the ’74, ’75, and ’76 versions of the wagon, and it will be coming in 2018 Premium Release 3.  I can’t wait for more wood-paneled goodness.

  1. Very nice Buick! But I sure wish AutoWorld would craft a casting of the 1960 Mercury Monterey Wagon. Maybe in white or gold. Love love love that vehicle. Those tail lights! It would make an amazing casting. But…that is just my opinion.

  2. Great! A new AW wagon! Reasons to celebrate things other than JDMs and JHs. Give us more! More 50s cars too from the lines that make those!

  3. I’m so excited for this model….the early ’70s Estate Wagons were about as big as wagons ever got, so considering AutoWorld’s faithfulness to scale, this should be monumental, both literally and figuratively. These tend to disappear from the pegs VERY quickly, so I might be tempted to order it. Hopefully it won’t come to that, but I really don’t want to miss out on this one.

  4. All of these models are simply delicious and will look great in my Wagon collection. Especially excited about that 64 Fairlane from MB!

  5. I’m facing so much hardships procuring the Autoworld models this side of the globe in Pune Maharashtra, India. Through flipkart.com I managed to get three. From Amazon.in I got two but heavily exorbitantly priced.
flipkart canceled 6 cars. Just what I hoped they wouldn’t do. I was severely disappointed. Seller runs out of stock in the US. I wish someone could procure for me the Buick, Chevy and the Ford Squire wagons
