Model: Hot Wheels ’76 Greenwood Corvette
Line: 2012 HW Racing ROADRCR
Where to get it: Hot Wheels ROADRCR Greenwood Corvette on ebay
Why it’s in the collection: This specific model, the ROADRCR Greenwood Vette, in my opinion, is one of the best models Hot Wheels has EVER done. Seriously. It is a darn near perfect replica of the 70’s racer. But more than that, it is a bold choice for a Hot Wheels model, and its over-the-top stylings just make my smile. It is an all-time fave for me, up there with the Boulevard 510 Wagon, Candy Striper Gasser, Toy Fair Porsche 934, and other legendary Hot Wheels. And considering Hot Wheels Designer Jun Imai is considered the king of HW JDM, this might be my favorite of his designs. He just killed it.
Oh, and it is July 4th, and this seemed a nice red-white-and-blue choice.
My favorite diecast
Awesome 1976 Greenwood Corvette you open up and reviewed congrats thumbs up. I’m still on the hunt for this one thumbs up. And happy 4th of July to you my Friend congrats thumbs up.
Lucky I got the whole set when I did for a fairly decent price, but they are indeed rare and pricey.
My favorite happens to be the blue ’69 Garner ‘Vette! That thing is awesome esp. since a real actor raced it.. an actor who I liked watching when I was a kid.. remember The Rockford Files?
The Greenwood ‘Vette is pretty cool too ’cause it looks like a ’70’s racer in that Bicentennial paint scheme.
Nice pick, Happy 4th John!!!
Nice choice for the 4th, John.
This is one of those holy grail models you’d have to be crazy not to want. I’m so sad I never got my hands on these when they came out. The prices now are…eye-watering, to say the least. Maybe someday I’ll splurge on one, but for now the pics will have to do 🙁
I might be able to help you out and I wouldn’t be asking for eBay prices either, don’t worry.
