Last week we were excited to show the upcoming Honda Civic Type R, which is making its return to after a several-year absence. Because of the deco we speculated that it could be an upcoming Holiday model.
We were right.
Photos have emerged of the Civic carded, and we think we can safely say this is a holiday model:
Hot Wheels has just been nailing the card art lately, and this is no exception. Of course, if we see the front of the card, maybe the back of the card would unveil some more news. And it does.
This year’s Holiday Hot Rods will consist of 8 models:
- ’70 Dodge Charger
- Pro Stock Camaro
- Custom ’53 Chevy
- Honda Civic
- Nissan Titan
- Volkswagen Golf
- Hot Tub
- Draggin’ Wagon
There are some old classics in there, like the Draggin’ Wagon, but we think many of you will be most excited about the Civic, Titan, and Golf. It is hard to tell what deco they will sport based on the card back, so why not show a couple more?
We don’t know when these will appear, but we assume soon. Maybe we get through Halloween before we see them, but maybe not…
I'm just hoping that neither the Civic or the Golf are “Chase” cars. Actually it would be nice if there was no “chase” car at all.
I like how they don't do the car in the cards…. When I saw 2013's Holiday Rods, I was so excited to see a Yur So Fast. Was thoroughly disappointed.
Fun! Like that Charger…
Definitely excited for the Golf!!!
I just want the Draggin' Wagon and the Custom Chevy. Wasn't the Hot Tub part of last years holiday cars?
What garbage. Honda Civic, lowrider Nissan Titan, seriously? Outside of the card art, you'd never know any of these are supposed to be Holiday cars. Whatever happened to seasonally relevant castings, special paint with snowflakes, and RR's? This is mainline junk.
What store will these be at?
What store will these be at?
probaly wont come to the UK shame…
