Another quick jump in to let you know the next Super Treasure Hunt has been unveiled, and as usual, Hot Wheels has surprised us again.
The team is clearly having fun with the Supers this year. We have seen several repeat Supers, including two that were Supers just last year. We have had a few that made their debut in the mainline as Supers (2000GT, Ford Ranchero, El Camino), and now we have two very similar Supers.
We saw the Mustang Super Snake in green earlier this year, and now we have another green Mustang from essentially the same era. The ’07 Mustang made its debut in the Modern Classics line, and this is the first time we see it in the mainline. We would not call this our favorite Super by any means, but it is bound to be a popular one.

Just a thought, but since there aren't basic version treasure hunts anymore, shouldn't we go back to calling the super ones just “treasure hunts” again?

I believe it would still make sense to refer to these as Supers simply because they have rubber tires.

Super-cool! At one time, this used to be my favourite Mustang from the HW line-up (I picked it up in the American 5-pack). This, like the Super Snake, is coming home with me regardless of it being the ST-H or the mainline version (its slotted in the 'Then & Now' series). Thanks mate for the heads up!

Yeah, they do, but most of the original Treasure Hunts that were made before the basic-super split of a few years ago were made with metal base, metal body, premium deco, and real riders. So the newest ones aren't any different. the only reason that there were supers in the first place was because they had a split in the TH line where each model had a basic version with a TH stamp and the regular TH that were “supers”
Actually in the beginnings there were a lot of THunts with plastic wheels.
Don't know if i got you wrong, though…
I think the super snake colors are worst. the green is too dark and blends badly with the black…
In this one the contrast is way better.
