I was very happy to find this pack on the shelves at Target today.
Since the first images were shown overseas, I have wanted to find it. It is one of those rare “3-must-haves” packs, where the majority of the models will go into the collection. Those are always fun to pick up, especially with Hot Wheels. It doesn’t happen often. At least not as often as it happens with Matchbox.
The other reason this is worth picking up? It is, in fact, a tribute to Carroll Shelby, who died earlier this year. This is an absolute no-brainer for Hot Wheels, and I am very happy they did it. I don’t know if this will be the only tribute they do, but if so it is very appropriate.
Like I said earlier, this is a very good choice of models, and it is great to see all of them looking so good. I am partial to the ’67 GT500, which is in fact my favorite Hot Wheels Mustang alongside the Super Snake, and it looks fabulous here in green. The same goes for the other four, especially the 2010 and Daytona Coupe, which are two models I have not put in the collection previously. The 2010 GT500 benefits from the full orange PR5 wheels and bright orange center stripe, making if the best version of this model for me.
This is bound to be a very popular 5-pack, and one that I am sure many Shelby fans will want to pick up, especially as Hot Wheels Shelby models become more and more popular following Shelby’s death…

While I love that '10 GT500 casting, that combo of that orange and that blue just… UGH, I hate it, LOL. It's still a great pack, though, glad to see that Daytona Coupe getting more attention, I've always liked that casting despite the odd proportions.

The 'Daytona' Coupe and the GT500 in Gulf colors are the only cars here that really make me want to buy this pack. The rest, I'll probably trade with my friend. Congratulations for finally getting hold of this pack. And why no rear angle shots of the '10 GT500? I want a couple more pics of that car, if I may request.

Personally, I am not too fond of the color choices myself. But I do love all the castings though. Especially the classic 427 Cobra and the '10 GT500!

Awesome '67 GT500. I'm collecting the casting so it will sure come to the garage.
I may keep the 10 GT500 as well. The other will go for trades…
I read your review and learned about this 5pk here from Facebook. Then I went out and found it. Only one in a display of 36 5pks.
