Toyota, Toyota, Toyota. There’s a lot of Toyotas in this little group. It’s just the way it went, as I finish off batch C of the Matchbox basic range for 2026 over on the Wheel Collectors website this week. You may also notice that these are all very new castings. 2 of them debuted in this batch, and the other 3 only arrived last year. So, my report ran a little shorter than normal. So, I pulled a classic out of my collection for a little padding. Just because I felt like it. I know I shortened things from my reports from a few years back, but I don’t want them to be too short. One thing that I’m shocked you didn’t mention is that the blue RAV4 has an interior variation: it can be found with either a left-hand or right-hand drive! Even more reason to be thankful for those clear windows, right? Happy collecting!
There is a reason for that. When I was writing my article, I didn’t know about the variation. I only had the one at the time. In fact, I only found out that the RAV4 has LHD or RHD recently, and have since added the alternate to my collection. But, this is a handy addendum for anybody who is interested. Thanks for pointing it out.
Im sick of seeing this batch now! All my Poundlands and even my local The Entertainer are still laden with this mix with no signs of them selling through.
