Inno64 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R Racing Concept : the race car that never raced.

Yep, another Skyline to fil the gaps. And not a very common one : the 2000 GT-R (KPGC110) Racing Concept from 1972, both in green and blue with gold stripes.

Inno64 is surely pursuing its dream to make every Skyline or GT-R in the range, and why would they stop as they are good sellers. For this duo, we have the chance to have a pretty rarely seen Skyline with a “Racing Concept”. I remember I never managed to have the Kyosho version, very expansive back in time. So this gap is now fulfilled. And with a 2025 diecast quality and details.

I don’t know much about this car except that it never raced. It was an exhibit at the 1972 Tokyo Motor Show and was very modified from the standard Kenmeri. Wider wheel arches, highly modified front end, no headlights, bigger and large wheels. A lateral exhaust is also to be noted. This concept will remain a one-off and will never race in 1973 has it was supposed to do. Because of costs reductions and fuel crisis, mainly, the number 73 will stay a “phantom GT-R”, as it was called. But you can find it on eBay easily.

While we have many pictures of the green and gold version, I don’t know where this blue version is from. Anyway, Inno64’s job on this cast is as always very good, and you can feel the “big” look of the KPGC110. It’s a nice effort from the brand to make this one, because it will probably never have other versions.
