New casting alert! Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R (KPGC110), by Inno64

The missing piece of the puzzle is finally here. The KPGC110 joins the Inno64 realizations and completes the Nissan GT-R family. Tired of Nissan GT-R ? Wait to see the whole family reunited …

Few brands can brag having a very strong dynasty of models such as the Nissan GT-R. We can think to some very famous filiations though : Volkswagen Golf, Ford Mustang, Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Ford Escort, Porsche 911 … it’s nice to see models last when they are iconic. The Nissan GT-R is definitely one of them with models from the 70’s with the Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R (KPGC10) to the last and never ending career of the blow-minding GT-R R35. The Skyline family exists ever since before, but we are talking GT-R’s here. So now, collectors will be happy, like me, to have the complete models done with the same level of execution, in premium form, by Inno64.

From the Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R (KPGC10), KPGC110, R30, R31, R32, R33, R34 and recently R35, I cannot be more happy to have them all. It’s an old wish I had with my Kyosho 1:64 minicar collection that I hardly managed to get. It’s time now to think to a set or something cool to celebrate all the models with maybe the same color … to be continued …

Let’s back to our KPGC110, second model of the dynasty but last model to be issued by the brand. Well, as usual, two colors at first glance, and racing versions scheduled for later. The brand is using the mold and is absolutely right to do so. The casting is really 70’s and will remind a lot some Renault 15 and Renault 17 look for overseas readers, specially the front and the rear window. Find this awesome GT-R on eBay easily!

While the red is purely stock with thin wheels and tires, high on wheels if I may say so, the silver version is in a more after market style with sporty dark wheels, perfectly making the car. Exhausts are also different, but both models have black wheels arches and mirrors, really, again, making the car. We can note that the silver version gets a front spoiler the red one doesn’t have. Both sports nice photo etched logos on front and rear, but sadly always flawed on the rear, like often with Inno64 logos. I think the KPGC110 could have sported suspensions like the Celica and Nissan R31 have, but it’s fine. The cast is good and it’s really a blast to have the whole line of GT-R complete in high quality diecast.

Now, let’s see what other colors will come, maybe white. As seen in my previous article about the Hobby Expo China 2024, racing versions are already scheduled.

See you soon for more Inno64 reviews!
