The Lamley Awards continue with our first Instagram Tournament for 2023.
Two years ago we introduced the Instagram Head-to-Head Tournaments to a fantastic response, and we will kick off the 2023 Tournaments with Mini GT. Head over to the lamleygroup Instagram account, look in my IG Stories, and you will see Round 1 of the Tournament. Pick the model in each pairing you like the best, and return 24 hours later for Round 2. Within a few days one model will emerge as the very best of Mini GT in 2023.
But don’t think it is going to be easy. Mini GT had another stellar year. No brand not named Hot Wheels has made more of an impact among 1/64 collectors than Mini GT, and in my opinion the brand really hit a stride in 2023. The brand really took advantage of its racing licenses, introducing current and vintage race cars from all walks, from F1 to IMSA to Rally. And when the committee got together to pick the 16 best models to put in the tournament, the racing cars really stood out. And you will see that reflected in the choices.
So let’s get to it. The showcase is on YouTube, and I used the video to randomly seed the models. The pairings are brutal to say the least, and good luck picking the better of each pair.
