Instant fave sponsor and color for Leyton House !!! There I’ve said it. I am a big fan of this so 90’s color scheme and who else than Inno64 is able to make some in 1/64 scale ? Leyton House Racing was a former Formula One team which also run at 24h of Le Mans and other races, and was held by Akira Akagi who made fortune in real estate in Japan. Later, he was arrested for illegal finances. It’s a super quick sum up but the story is really interesting and I encourage you to read it via some research.
Inno64 is in its element with vintage Asian racing cars and two more Nissan Skyline RS-X (DR30) are now on the market (find them on eBay). For obvious reasons, my favorite is the light blue Leyton House but I know many collectors love Advan liveries (what I actually don’t!). As I’ve said previously, the DR30 is not the best Inno64 mold ever, I think the window treatment could have been better. I’m also convinced that the wheels play a big role in the look of the car. That is why the yellow Mada version with lace wheels is very much more good looking. But it remains the best DR30 on the market.
That being said, I have not much more to say about them except the Leyton House version will have a special place in my display. It’s also a perfect companion to the Honda Civic Si-E AT released for Macau specials some years ago.
See you soon for more Inno64 reviews!
