You just kind of know. 2021 is going to be a big year for Tarmac Works.
This isn’t hype. There doesn’t need to be. 2020 saw a ton of expansion from Tarmac Works. Their Hobby64 line, TW’s bread and butter, continued to get more and more diverse, as well as more and more detailed. And the unique collaborations, with other diecast brands like MiniGT, Kyosho, Ignition Model, and Schuco were a hit.
But where I see Tarmac Works making the most in-roads with collectors is with their Global64 line. The models are slightly less detailed, but the fewer parts make the models a little more “playable”, which is an important factor for a lot of collectors, especially those in the US. Tarmac introduced several new models, like the Mercedes-Benz C63 Black Series and Mustang GT, will expand on that in 2021.
All the evidence needed was shown earlier this fall at the Tarmac Works Minicar Fest. Tarmac’s event was limited in attendance for obvious reasons, but big on sneaks. The crew sent over some pics, and I will let them do the talking. What do you look forward to the most?
All I know is I’ll be doing A LOT more Tarmac Works videos and posts in 2021.
