Going to Barrett-Jackson? Come join me at a Car Culture Symposium? Not going? Watch it on Facebook.

Sitting here at the airport ready to make my way from cold and snowy Salt Lake City to sunny and pleasant Scottsdale for the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction. I am assuming most of you are familiar with the event, which happens every year at this time in Arizona. I grew up in Scottsdale, and strangely have never been. Probably an aversion to traffic.

But I am going to brave it now. I have been invited to participate in one of the free Car Culture symposiums held at Barrett-Jackson, specifically pertaining to the merging of Car Culture and Youth Culture. Obviously I was invited because of my video game prowess. At least I hope. Actually, now that I think about it, since the last video game I played was Super Mario 30 years ago, I guess it is because of diecast.

Nonetheless, I’ll be on stage at 9am MST ready to talk with my fellow panelists, and if you would are around, I would love to see you there. The event is free. If you aren’t there, you can stream it live on the Barrett-Jackson Facebook Page.

Hope to see you.
