Model: Matchbox ’75 Chevy Caprice

Line: Matchbox 2019 Mainline
Where to get it: Hobby dealers and hitting stores.
How many of these will stay intact? Probably not many. At least of this first version. Customizers are salivating for it. I have heard it over and over again since Matchbox announced this one last July.
“I’m warning you right now I will be hoarding this one.”
“I will buy everyone I find.”
I’ve heard it over and over and over. And you want to know why? Well google “75 Caprice” and you will know. If you don’t already.
And that is what is exciting about this model. Matchbox will occasionally throw out a little surprise, and this Caprice is exactly that. It is almost like they are proclaiming this stock Caprice the blank canvas, and daring everyone to have a go. And boy they will.
I won’t host a custom contest on this model, but I was sure tempted. But I decided against because I don’t need to. It will already happen, and that is what Instagram is for. I just can’t wait to sit back and watch. If you are taking this model on, tag me. I want to see it.
And I will keep this stock version for safe keeping.

As a resident of Canada I’m hoping that Matchbox can ship as many die cast ’75 Caprice Classics as possible to retailers in country. The sooner the better.
I meant to say in my country. Just thought I’d point out a typing error I made.
Very Very Cool Glasshouse!!!
Those A pillars are enormous. What gives? (hint: certainly not those A pillars!)
Anybody is welcome to my share of these. I’ll be passing. A nice enough casting and deco (ugly gray bumpers notwithstanding), just not my cup of tea. You’re welcome! 🙂
Auto World should do this one too, I’ll appreciate a bit more detail to be put on this beautiful car…
