32 Replies to “Here is the Hot Wheels 2019 Mainline List”

  1. As It was with 2018: another dissapointing year. I will get the 91’miata and the nissan 300zx… And that’s about it

      1. Tomica Basic beat them to the punch with the Centenario Coupe (weird considering HW has the Forza tie-in license).

    1. Hot Wheels seems to have a thing with Roadsters and Lamborghini’s. Rather have the regular but I’ll take the roadster rather than nothing. The Centenario roadster is pretty nice looking. However, not a big fan of the Hot Wheels Reventon Roadster and Aventador J castings so we’ll see how this one turns out. I’m hoping it’s fire as it’s been at the top of my list of wanted castings.

  2. Eight left to go.

Two Exotics still unannounced — Bugatti and Koenigsegg? Valkyrie and AMG Project ONE? Rimac and next-gen Tesla Roadster? A combination of the six?

Five Factory Fresh cars left in the dark — I would assume that this line will have all licensed cars, or at least 8/10. What else can they get that have yet to be taken?

As for the lone Race Team TBD, it’s probably a generic (can’t have been a re-release of a legacy car), but it could also be a licensed car from right out of left field.

  3. I understand the Centenario, Senna, all the JDMs but why the fuck are they doing the Mercedes A-class and the Porsche Panamera ST????? WHY???? Why isn’t Matchbox doing those?? Those clearly have Matchbox written all over them. Is Matchbox just gonna sit around doing stupid SUVs and construction models while Hot Wheels steals all the good cars? F*CK YOU MATTEL.

    1. The Panamera actually makes sense to me — the stats of the real thing makes it seem pretty hot enough. The A-class is more questionable, though. Could have been space better used for, say, the SLS AMG Black or a Lotus.

    2. The Audi RS5 Coupe is definitely something you would think Matchbox would do as well. With that said, I prefer the look of Hot Wheels so I’m looking forward to all of these.

    3. We get cars like Ford Fiestas, Fiat 500s, Honda Civics and the VW Bettle, yet the Mercedes A-class is a problem? Not everything has to be a muscle car or exotic. I’d expect something along the lines of a hotted-up bespoilered Mercedes-AMG A45 from Hot Wheels, not a milquetoast A160 entry level version. Still, it’s odd that this wouldn’t be called out in the name.

As far as the Panamera Grand Turismo, if Hot Wheels is going to delve into the world of hybrids and electrics (as it seems the entire world is headed), I can’t think of a model I’d be more excited about than the Gran Turismo.

Sure both Porsches would fit well in Matchbox’s lineup, but I’ll take ’em how I can get ’em! And like Jeff below, I prefer the silhouette of Hot Wheels.

  4. ‘64 Nova Gasser
    Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo
    McLaren Senna
    Lamborghini Centenario Roadster
    ‘96 Porsche Carrera
    2018 Honda Civic Type R

Are the ones I’m excited about.

The Centenario has been on my want list for awhile now as far as castings I had hoped Hot Wheels would do so pretty excited for that. Would rather have had the regular instead of the Roadster but I’ll take it.

The Senna may just be my favorite car right now so pretty damn excited about that.

Would love premium versions of both of the above. Come on Car Culture Exotics!!

Hopefully they bring the fire with the TBD’s in Factory Fresh and Exotics.

Disappointments? Would have liked a regular casting of the Countach. We had the pace car last year now we get a police version. It may be pretty cool though with the deco but I would have loved to have seen a premium less version of the one they are making for the RLC.

  5. The real McLaren Senna is spilling a lot of ink on its reason for being and its apparent particular skill set as a qualifiable hypercar on the track. I hope Mattel doesnt screw this up by goofing with the rear wheels. This thing is supposed to be a legacy tribute built by McLaren to arguably one of the premiere best F1 drivers of all time…Aryton Senna. The car deswrves all due respect in that manner.
I am also curious about the E (hybrid or all electric?) Twin Mill. Be nice to add that to my Twin Mill, Twin Mill II and Twin Mill III. Also…the Rodger Dodger 2.0….a new take on an old Charger? Does this mean a new Dixie Challenger waiteth in the wings?

  6. Panamera Sport Turismo!! Hot damn. Looking forward to that one a bunch. There’s a danger it could end up looking blobby, but I’m definitely dying to see how they do with it. The more wagons the better. The Land Rover Series III and Jeepster should also be neat.

    1. I’m right there with you man! Glad I’m not the only one who’s wagon crazy. Fingers crossed the proportions are well executed and it’s not like you say, “blobby”.

  7. Think about being between an Apollo Intensa Emozione or a ‘17 Audi R8 or a Lamborghini Terzo Millennio or a ‘18 Corvette ZR1 or a Lykan Hypersport. Two of these five i mention are my good bets for the candidates for being New (Exotics) Castings…

  8. Tesla Roadster (with Starman?) is listed twice? Is this the same as the A case ‘First car around the sun’ release?

  9. Wow! Some really great new castings coming this year! I’m looking forward to so many of these! To my utter amazement, I stumbled upon the Audi Sport Quattro the other day when there was very little sign of the rest of B case around anywhere. After that one, the next one I am most excited for is the Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo. But really… can’t wait to get my hands on; CRX, Carrera, Miata, 300ZX, Senna, RS 5, Civic Type R, MB B-class, etc.
