5 years of the ’55 Chevy Bel Air Gasser. Brendon Vetuskey’s casting made its debut in 2013, and in the five years since, the Bel Air has established itself as one of the premiere Hot Wheels castings. There are castings I call “Event Models”. Those that make a splash wherever and whenever they are released. There are a few, but the ’55 Gasser, at least at this moment, tops the list of Event Models.
Sure, there will be a few saying we’ve had Gasser overkill, but there are far more folks who will keep gobbling them up, myself included. It’s just the perfect Hot Wheels model. Whether as a basic or premium, it always looks good. And there really isn’t a deco that can look too outlandish on the Gasser.
And Hot Wheels knows it. They know we love it, so they have given us a lot. In fact, on average almost 5 a year. There are 24 official releases of the Gasser, counting the upcoming Kroger 50th Favorites Exclusive and Car Culture Drag Strip Demons release. And I decided to put them all together in an Up-to-Date video.
How pretty they are.
It’s actually a 210 sedan
