I hear from a lot of brands about a lot of product. Doing a blog makes that happen occasionally. I do like to get the word out on certain products, but I also like to stick with what I like.
This case is one of those, but a little different. When I was in Dallas earlier this year at Hot Wheels Nationals, a gentleman approached me asking if I wanted to see some exclusives he had done for his hobby shop by Maisto. I am not a huge Maisto guy, but have admired a lot of their product.
The person who came up to me was Bosco Chagollan, and his shop is the appropriately named Boss Company, or Bossco. And he has commissioned a series of Chevy Squarebody pickups from Maisto, and they are super cool.
Bosco gave me this pair, and I wanted to share them with you. If you like them, be sure to visit their online shop. There are quite a few more than just these two.
Maisto models are almost always overscaled, incorrectly proportioned and have cartoonishly large wheels. Rarely do I buy anything from them.
