The next version of the Hot Wheels C10 Skyline has been unveiled, by the dude whose car it is based on

You think Roy de Guzman has had a good day?

If you don’t know Roy, that is ok.  You might know his car.  If you are a Hot Wheels collector, you will most definitely know his car soon:

Roy was able to unveil the 2017 deco for the Hot Wheels Hakosuka Skyline, which is based on his actual car:

How cool is that?  The car made quite a splash at JCCS a couple of years ago with the deco Roy designed himself.  Enough of a splash in fact that it caught the attention of a few Hot Wheels designers.  Fast forward to now, and the car has been immortalized in Hot Wheels form.

Based on a real car or not, this deco is bound to be very popular among collectors, but it is that much cooler that it is based on the car of a fellow Hot Wheels collector.  I am very excited for Roy, and can’t wait to get my own “Roy’s Hakosuka” for the collection.

  1. I’ve been lucky enough to find 5 or 6 overall, months after it was released. Cos initially, it was impossible for me to locate I never got around to a custom, but have made one with rubber wheels and authentic silver thin rims.
