The February Tomica Limited Vintage Order Page is up, and it is heavy on big buses…

February Tomica Limited Vintage Assortment at Japan Booster

“Big buses” is reduntant.  Buses are big.  This should actually say “Small buses” because the Nissan Civilian is a small bus compared to your standard city bus.

But both are there.

It has been awhile since TLV releases some buses, so the February assortment is most welcome.  Two Civilians and a large Isuzu.  I always promise you won’t regret a TLV buy, and these buses most definitely apply.  You can see (and order) the entire February batch at Japan Booster:

The Civilians are especially fun, especially with one being “Riot Control” in theme.  Just see for yourself.

And of course, since there has to be cars as well, two more Toyota Crestas, this time Twin Turbos.  This is a small batch in number, but large in size…

  1. Any highly detailed 1:64 bus is a wonderful thing, but I do have trouble with these Tomica ones…my interest is limited because, having not grown up in Japan, these specific buses don't pull at me emotionally or stoke any memories of having seen them in person. I can certainly appreciate them as well-executed models, but that's as far as it goes. Perhaps an equally-detailed yellow Blue Bird school bus, or a 1960s double-decker Greyhound bus would strike my fancy more 😉

  2. Tomica Limited Vintage models are the best 1/64 scale diecast. I love Kyosho. I love Greenlight, even though their QC can be questionable. I love Auto World, even though distribution is nothing short of terrible. To me, TLV is simply the best. I have the TLV Lancia Delta Integrale and I can safely say that it is the most detailed 1/64 diecast car I own. I'd love to have one of these buses, but I doubt I could afford one.
