Who is going to opt-in? The Hot Wheels RLC Sub Plan is available tomorrow…

Tomorrow, here in the US, is when we all make our choice.  No way I am getting political here, but I think most of us are happy the day of reckoning is here.  We will all make our choice, and we will see what happens.

It is no secret that many people aren’t terribly thrilled with the options, so Hot Wheels is giving RLC members the chance to choose something we can actually be excited about.

The RLC Subscription Plan Opt-in is tomorrow, and all you have to do is choose whether to opt-in or not.  If you do, you are guaranteed these models when they are released:

  • Neo-Classics ’72 Ford Gran Torino Sport
  • Neo-Classics Convoy Custom
  • Neo-Classics Custom Camaro
  • Neo-Classics Volkswagen Drag Bus
  • Real Riders Custom Barracuda
  • Real Riders Datsun Bluebird 510
  • Real Riders Drag Dairy
  • Real Riders Long Gone
Look at that list.  Many of those are going to be instant sell-outs.  The 510, Drag Bus, and Convoy Custom will sell-out for sure, and the others won’t be slouches either (like the Lamley-fave Gran Torino).  If you opt-in, you are guaranteed one of each of these when they go on sale.  No need to on the site the day they go on sale.  Your card will get hit, and the model gets sent.
But if you want more, you are allowed to buy whatever the limit is for each model the day they go on sale as well.  If you think about it, there is no bad reason to jump in.  Of course a lot of RLC members agree with that assessment, so there will be a run on the limited number of subscription plans, so be ready when they go on sale at 9 AM Pacific Time.

  1. I'll be passing. Most of those castings just don't do it for me. The only one I might even consider is the 510, and maybe the barracuda. Plus, you have to admit they are a year behind already on shipping items.
