Everyone had better up their Wagon game. M2 just unveiled a doozy…

M2 set Instagram aflutter today when they unveiled this beauty:

Hey Guys, I’ve been wanting to do this wagon for a loooooooooooong time! It’s from our upcoming M2 1/64 scale Auto-Thentics release 39. The car is the 1957 Chevrolet 150 Handyman Station Wagon. This is the base 2 door wagon from Chevrolet. It has no gold fender “chevrons” or gold “Chevrolet” script and “V” emblems they are now chrome. The grill is also chrome, not gold. Also noticed there’s no black bumperettes or “dagmars” on the front bumper either. This wagon is also powered by the NEW for 1957 Fuel Injected 283 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 producing 283 horse power! The paint is reminiscent of the 1957 Chevrolet “Black Widow” with a gloss Black body and India Ivory rear section. I also dig the black steel wheels with the chrome 150 poverty caps and black wall tires. More info about this release is coming soon! Thanks for the support, Sean. #m2 #m2machines #chevrolet #chevy #1957 #1957chevrolet #150 #handymanwagon #stationwagon #fuelinjection #fulieengine #283 #V8 #sleeper #blackwidow #diecast #diecastcars

M2 is on a major role, much of it having to do with their passion for both cars and collectors, and this wagon is an easy indication of that.  More details on Release 39 coming soon…

Thanks to M2 for the additional pics…

  1. Meh…stop giving us casting of the same cars over and over again: American muscle cars and '55 Chevys/ Nomads. How many castings are there of 'Cudas, Chargers, Mustangs and first gen Camaros?…Enough already.

  2. It's time for M2 to bring us some 70's wagons- how about an early 70's Pontiac Safari or Olds Custom Cruiser. Maybe a '76 Mercury Colony Park or Ford Country Squire? Even a Pinto Cruising Wagon would be much more interesting than this casting is to me.

  3. Guys…it's a 57' first off. Second – its a fairly new release. Its only seen 2 other variations. All the later 70's stuff? Go to GL or Autoworld. I really like the 50's category for M2 as well as the newer Van and Ford Truck lines. Their resale or shelf value is a plus too compared to the rest of the 1/64 world with very few exceptions.
