Great pair eh?
The 2016 Hot Wheels H Case is a good one, most notably because of the two beauties above. The Mustang has been covered, now on to the NSX.
The Acura is sneaky great. At first you might think that there is nothing sneaky about it. The casting looks fantastic. More detailed than the Concept (pictured below), with Y5 wheels that look work better than I thought they would (take a gander at the real car), but there is even more.
Acura emphasized the intakes. So did Hot Wheels. Acura created a C pillar that actually is separated from the window. So did Hot Wheels. I didn’t do a great job of capturing it, because I just discovered it after photographing the model, but look closely at this pic:
Window-space-C pillar. And it’s more significant than it looks here. A little detail that brings major kudos to the Hot Wheels design team. And that is only part of the fun. The front intakes and grill are super detailed. So is the rear. There is a lot of attention paid to the angles and stance, which are clearly a major emphasis for Acura.
Of the two blues, the Mustang has a major wow-factor. Every angle surprises, and its monster looks demand attention. The Acura doesn’t punch you in the face, and I could even get into a conversation on whether or not the new NSX is a worthy successor to its predecessor. But the Hot Wheels replica is a stunner.
There really have been some memorable castings from Hot Wheels this year. Not only the choices, but the execution. There have been some innovative ideas and some major attention to detail. Tons of talent on the design team, and we are definitely benefitting…
