This is a model that many of us are anticipating, and we are happy to report that our friends in Australia get first dibs.
The Hot Wheels Road Trippin’ Nissan Skyline H/T 2000 GT-X has appeared at some small stores in Australia, and our friend AnMinh To (@minh427 on Instagram) was able to snag one. He sent over pics of the card (front and back), as well as some fantastic photos of the model at all angles.
We like what we see. While a plain Hako is better than an overly tampo’d Hako, that is not what the Road Trippin’ series is about. And considering that, it looks really nice. The deco is simple and very Japanese in style, and the color and wheels look nice.
Many in the States have found the Road Trippin’ R34 Skyline, and the Hakosuka should be following soon. In the meantime, you Lamley Readers from Australia can just make us jealous…
Thanks Minh.
I find it interesting that every release of the Hako has had the rear light tampos. Wonder if there's any reason besides “it looks good” (which it does)
I really don't mind the tampos on this. Theyre a lot cleaner and simpler than the R34 design, which is nice
And another great car that will never see the shores of the UK
Wow…what a beautiful casting. Don't feel bad, Jon Mower, Canada won't get these cars either. Secondary market seems to be the way to go for us.
