We get them, so we will show them, even if it is late by collector standards.
When we started doing case reports, we noticed that there was always a difference, sometimes large, sometimes small, between the International and US cases. So we thought we would show both.
International cases are what you see early, just as the cases are being released. It appears that Mattel sends those cases out to hobby dealers, and sometime in the next 1-3 weeks the US cases appear in big box stores like Walmart and Target.
Because the International cases are what our friends at Wheel Collectors receive, we have them do a case report that we post as soon as we can. We at Lamley do the US case report, as soon as we get one sent to us, which can be at the same time as the big box stores, or well after, which is the case with this C case.
So while it is late, and most of you have moved on from the C case, here it is anyway.
The Hot Wheels 2015 C Case, opened and pulled 3-by-3:
What do you think?
My inclination is to say it is not the most exciting case, but I think most will say that after all the cases unless a Super is pulled. The fact is most cases only contain a handful of models that interest the true car-loving collector, but that is how it has always been. We don’t mind, because we keep a few and are able to donate the rest. They are put to good use.
What do you guys think of the C case?
no red datsun wagon??
That '69 Chevelle is one of the best releases of that casting. Still need to find one, though.

Any case without a super is on some level a bummer, although not unusual. But I love the regular version of the AE-86 so that's cool. I agree with doomus that the '69 Chevelle SS is awesome, took me a while to find one and I was psyched when I did, hopefully lots more rolling out. And I really love the GTO as well, which I think is also new to this case. I actually like Rockster too. No Ferraris, maybe B-case was the end of those…
I have most of what I want out of this batch minus Pedal Driver. I can tell the Chevelle in hand is a bute. To my surprise after all the negativity over it. The Viper is thee best casting I've seen for this casting by Mattel. The Wheels on the GTO are a bit awkward. Mig Rig is great in red but plastic body hurts the casting. Same is true for Turbine Time this truck is sure to be a customizers dream but the plastic body again takes away from an otherwise beautiful casting.
I wonder if there is a wheel variation on the new Datsun 240Z? It looks pretty good now, but wouldn't it be exceptional to find one with 10sp's?
