It may not be earth-shattering news, but it is news.
The 2014 COPO Camaro, which debuted in the Hot Wheels mainline last year, returns in 2015 as part of Batch C, and it is sporting something new. See if you can catch it:
Don’t see it? How about here:
Nope? Alright, this should help:
And this:
Now you see it? Yes, the front wheel is a 5-spoke like we have seen many times before, but now comes in a drag wheel style. We have no idea what you call the front wheels of a dragster, but we know they are thin. Maybe Hot Wheels finally agreed with most collectors that the standard drag wheel is a…uh…total drag, and gave it a better looking rim. It still looks odd from a few angles, but from a side angle it looks nice.
So yes, a new wheel. But no, nothing that significant. Hot Wheels would benefit from a few more mainline wheel choices, and maybe we will see some. This is a start…
I like them. We've had pizza cutters before in 5DOT version, but I don't think they still use that one. I know I did quite a lot back when I customized cars. It was fun taking a regular casting and making a “weekend special with those wheels.
maybe just another way to reduce costs…lol
Well… As far I know the real Copo Camaro is a dragster, it makes sense those type of wheels, but I understand why a lot of collectors hate them
not a new wheel…it was definitely on the white COPO before, if not all of them
The thin wheel is not not new. The thin 5-spoke is new.
What he said.

“SK” is already taken. Would we be calling this SK5SP?
