With all the frenzy over both Hot Wheels 510’s, Tomica Limited Vintage has offered a 1:64 history of the Japanese Classic. We ogle over the plethora of lowered 510’s sitting on wats at JCCS just like the next guy, but seeing a stock 510 is even better. And that is why we love what TLV is doing.
And they know it too. The 510 series of Bluebirds is one of the most widely used castings in the TLV lineup, and two more versions were just released this month. We have to think they are taking advantage of the popularity of the 510, and have noticed the attention paid to the Wagon as well. The two street versions of the Wagon remain extremely hard to get, and we wonder if we won’t see two new versions coming soon. It is bound to happen. (In the meantime we suggest paying attention to Japan Booster’s listings. They occasionally surprise us with a random 510 Wagon listing.)
So here are 12 of the 13 510’s produced by Tomica Limited Vintage. We are missing one, the 1600 SSS in dark green. We resolved that problem by ordering one from Japan Booster, and it will arrive soon. But for now, here are twelve.
We will show these models in detail by starting with the two just released this month, and go from there. Some are becoming harder and harder to get, but Japan Booster is doing what they can to offer them. We will keep you updated on our Facebook Page.
The Nissan IDX introduced a lot of Lamley readers to Tomica Limited Vintage, and we know many have been expanding their TLV collection since. If you don’t have a 510 or two in the collection, you should add a couple, and put them next to the IDX. Send us a family portrait when you do…

Your best bet is to head over to the Lamley blog front page, follow the link to Japan Booster on eBay and order from him. I recently did so, and my only regret is not having done it much, much earlier in my collecting life.
