Just Unveiled: Hot Wheels Porsche 934 Turbo RSR in black…

That was fast.

Just as the first images of the brand new Hot Wheels Porsche 934 Turbo RSR carded were released, we just learned that it will be recolored.  In badass black.

If orange in all its Jägermeister glory is the signature color of the 934, black is the meanest.  We are waiting for an orange example to arrive here for a First Look, but seeing it in black gives us an even better idea of how great Ryu Asada’s design really is.  We have loved the 993 since it came out last year, but this one may take the cake.  But again, we will wait until we have it in hand, which will be soon.

In the meantime, here it is in black.  We assume this will appear in an upcoming 2015 batch, but as a 2014 or 2015 model we have yet to find out.

What do you think?

  1. Seems my first post has been deleated ??????

So I will try again, **YAW**, another Porsche, why cant we have something else, the 911 or whatever variation of numbers it has, does not take away that the car looks teh same with varying sizes of Tailfin or colour.

Why cant they use a little imagination and try to get the rights to produce other sports cars, like Jags, Maserati's, and so on and so on, it gets a bit boring after a while to see that same cars released time and again.

  2. I'll reserve judgement on the black until I can see it in person. In the pictures, it looks like the black might be too metallic, the large metal flakes look unrealistic to me. I'll probably still pick it up as it's a great casting and black and gold do work great together, but the orange is where it's at in my opinion. All I need are some Jagermeister logos, and it will be good to go. Now, if they did a Martini version then that would be something else, but I won't hold my breath.

  3. Speaking of rights, there are literally hundreds of combos for liveries, labels and makes. Mercedes is a stickler about their cars and would be a welcome choice as well as a Maserati or Marussia. A Mercedes SLS AMG GT would be awesome:

I don't see Mattel gaining the rights to Martini (which would look great on a white Porsche, BTW) because of it being an alcoholic product. Think about the kiddies!
I would love to see a Patron Racing Ferrari 458 or a Red Bull Racing F1 car.

Anyhow, that black 934 would look awesome even if it had metal flake paint – dig the gold cross-lace wheels too!
