It’s been a good year for the Mach 1.
Mustang 50th set, Super TH, and now Retro Entertainment. Not bad. Plus we labeled it one of our Cool is Cool is Cool cars. Even better.
The ’71 Mach 1 is one of those cars that might strike you as ugly out of the gate, but it doesn’t take long to see how great it is. Long hood, flat back, super hood scoops. It really is an early 70’s gem.
And surely cool enough to drive through the Nevada desert, the Vegas Strip, and a parking lot:
It may not be the Bond car we were expecting to see first, but it sure is a worthy one…

Hot Wheels ’71 Mustang Mach 1 (2014 Retro Entertainment):
The darn wheels are two different sizes again, but I think this Mustang is good enough to ignore that problem.
I like it, because I've always loved this Mustang body style since I was a kid. But I don't $5 like it.
As for the wheels, it doesn't bother me at all on this one. The ones that bother me are the normal mainline ones with the wide rear wheels. They should leave the rear wheels as the normal ones because it just looks odd as the front wheels track width is so narrow. It'd be different if the plastic base was tooled to widen the stance of the front wheels.

Yeah, for the same price, you can get the Auto World one…
Just what I was thinking! and Auto World just came out with it in 2 more attractive colors for release 2. Though, since they are in the 'licensed premium' line I believe they are $6-7 each? Still better value for the dollar.
That said, this one above still looks sharp but boy the anniversary series model with a metal base for 0.84 each at Walmart was certainly a good value!
I like this one. Yes the Auto World one is terrific. I think for many collectors they want a casting version that is the Hotwheels brand. These will be snapped up.
Probably my most anticipated model of the year so far. 😀 the 1971 Mustang Mach 1 in tred and black is my absolute dream car. I love this casting of it, too. I have the Auto World '71 Mach 1, so I know this one has bigger wheels in front and back, than it should, but to me that just makes it even meaner. Thanks for the great photoset!
Two Mustangs, one batch. I like it. And since this is the first ever Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment James Bond series car, I bet we all can also catch James Bond's Astons. Agree?
And this mighty machine is astonishing! Hot Wheels has captured the 2014 in gold color (ooh!), the 2014 in gold color $TH (ooh! More beauty and sexy!), and we've got this beauty. It's also a heck of nuts, it's got my record that this is my choice rather than Toyota 2000Gt's, Nissan Hakosukas, Celicas, Datsun 620s, 510 Bluebirds, Bluebird wagon models, all those other popular Japanese Nostalgic Cars (J.N.C) that actually FOR ME can't beat the this. Exactly gasp up of why you're not complaining about the previous Mustang (NFS) and this thang about the large rear wheels. The Koenigsegg? Pusp, you're not just saying it was ugly with those. FYI to you all complaining about the worst thing they ever saw. It was a nice model, and who could say such a thing to a hell noise?
Anyway, focusing on the Mach 1 we've also got some beauty style on this. It's got more violence, it's meaner, and it's James Bond action. No problemos with it.
Wrecking all those wrecked hatchers, but it's just hell WOW it's amazing!
And I like the way Hot Wheels adds LOTS of detail on the Mach 1. That's how the beauty got there. It sticks. And the reason I like it (even if you guys all know I'm not a fan of classics, but COOL is COOL is COOL) is because this thang looks good with the rubber, removable tires, white lipping on the tires, full tempos, but WOW exactly is my shoe size! It's my cup of tea. Treasure. No matter why the large rear wheels has to matter to match poo things happening all the time. There are just halfwits out there. No matter what how this girl is a star…
Anyways, thanks John for the post! I liked this day hanging out with the gals and go to sleep with 'em pony horses… : )
The tiny front wheels look stupid compared to the huge meats on the back. Ugly is ugly is ugly. Otherwise it's a fair casting. AW's is far nicer.
Auto World's is more accurate, not necessarily nicer. And the front wheels are even bigger than what came on it stock.
