Batch H just is just hitting Walmarts this week, and we have been procrastinating our First Looks. News has been running rampant and we seem to be falling behind a bit. But there are some great-looking models in this batch and they deserve some attention.
So we will combine the two Chevys into one post, and we start with the 2014 Corvette Stingray in gunmetal grey. We are happy Hot Wheels has decided to keep this model devoid of side tampos in its second year of existence. That may be Chevrolet’s request, but we hope it continues, at least for a few recolors this year.
There are only two Hot Wheels Corvette castings we collect in full – the Greenwood Corvette (one of our favorite Hot Wheels models in general), and the ’69 COPO. The others are more here and there. We assume that will be the same with the 2014 Stingray, but not until they change up the design.
We are now seeing the actual 2014 Vette on the streets, and we have to admit it is quite the looker. For me, it is a major step up from the last few generations of Vettes, although I remain partial to the 70’s design. The Hot Wheels follows suit, and is a good-looking, substantial casting.

Next up is the ZL1 Camaro.
Like the Stingray, the ZL1 is my favorite of the 5G Camaro HW castings, and there are a ton of them. It has a menacing stance, it is wide but not-too-wide, and sits parallel to the ground. Little details yes, but important in our little nerdy world.
We have seen it as a SEMA exclusive, as a Toy Fair model, a Zamac, and Team Hot Wheels model, but the mini-set we like the best is the set of four 2012 New Model colors:
You can’t beat these four. But the latest version almost matches them. The design is nice, but we love the fact that this model features the logo of one of our favorite car websites, Speedhunters. If you don’t visit that site daily, you really should.
So we like the white, and the design, and the logo. And we are looking forward to a few more Speedhunters-dedicated models. Should be fun…
Hot Wheels Camaro ZL1 Concept (2014 Mainline):
Yep, I like both. But my big choice is the 'Vette Stingray.
So I have some things to say about the two Chevs. They are both my cup of tea, they look fantaststic, and they're WOW. A BIG WOW.
So I'm starting off with the Camaro in the “Speedhunters livery. So here we go.
Now the Camaro ZL1 in the “Speedhunters” livery. Just one rip-off here, though. Why did you just comparison the Camaro only with the four colors of the 2012 new models? Well, you could have also added the 2013 version with the Hot Wheels red team livery. That's just playing dirty man.
But anyway, what else I would like to say is that the Speedhunters Camaro ZL1 looks astonishing, it's got some muscle style. That reminds and tells me something that I never got to share with anybody before, that since the ZL1 debuted in 2012, Hot Wheels just puts on normal MC5's on it. But I'd complain, they hadn't added any muscle style, but now, they did. So now the MC5's are fitted on with muscle style this time because Hot Wheels should add MC5's, but the muscle styled version, which the MC5's are supposed to be lipped. So, yeah. That has came true. Applause for that!
Well, technically, the truth is I just don't like the Speedhunters livery. I LOVE IT!!!
So next, speaing much of the ZL1, it's time to give nice shots of my back-to-back. So, I'll give you guys a hint. It's been the first to second to third of my top ten collection. It has returned to first. Behold, the 2014 Corvette Stingray!

The grey Vette looks clean. Unfortunately the red paint is too thik and it hides most of those beautiful lines.
Sorry, I forgot to mention something about the Corvette. Just one thing I have to say.

Actually, I was to say that, but there's actually more hehe.
If you hadn't noticed why Hot Wheels made the Corvette first in red as the new model because, not because it's celebrating the 60th birthday of Corvette idiots, that's not all. It's because it also looks like a diecast model of the “Car and Driver” top 10 vesion. It could be a toy model of the real Car and Driver one.
So second of all, I like how Hot Wheels makes the Corvette in grey mad, but there's also another specific reason for this.
Like the first paragraph above, the grey version is a diecast model of the real advertised one. That's it. I give a period. Done.
Now does anyone get it?
Batch H is out already? I have literally seen one car from G case(luckily it was the hunt) otherwise we just have F case and only at one store(have two walmarts, two targets, two shopkos, TRU and Kmart, those are just the main stores I go to) starting to get disappointing seeing people find all the new stuff and we're two or three cases behind.
The Speedhunters tampo would fit much better on a Scion FRS. looking forward to that
Nice color on the Vette. The red is sportier, but the grey gives it a bit more elegance, I think.
The Camaro with the Speedhunters logo is pretty dope. Didn't see that coming.
