JDM fans rejoice!
Or don’t, because it appears that Hot Wheels is releasing another JDM classic that will not be the easiest to find.
Our regular perusal of Facebook and other social media sources has yielded another new Hot Wheels treasure, the latest version of the Mazda RX-7. We would have assumed this was a basic version, if it wasn’t for that darn circle-halved-by-a-flame logo on the side. This is clearly a Treasure Hunt, which is one per case, and it might mean hobnobbing with the crazy collectors to get one.
And that TH logo isn’t the only interesting accessory on this model. Those appear to be the Japanese Nostalgic Car and JCCS logos on the side. The same logos that donned the hood of this year’s Toyota AE86 Corolla. Those lucky dogs at JNC have now seen their logo on four JDM models, including last year’s RX-7. My guess is they have known about this one for awhile and kept it close to the vest. I would think they will have their own photos of this one to show soon…
We now easily have our choice for best Treasure Hunt of 2013. We cannot wait to get our hands on this one and give it the full Lamley treatment.
