Great news Matchbox collectors. The premiere Matchbox collector event, the MC Gathering of Friends has been announced for 2013. I know many Lamley followers are not aware of the Gathering, but for 10 years now this has been the Matchbox event to attend.
Many come for the amazing Mattel-produced exclusives (like the Firebird pictured above), and then they return for the experience. It is the only event attended by the Matchbox team, and they are always willing to sit down and have a chat. Plus they unveil the next year’s new models and give a State of the Brand presentation.
There are a million reasons to head to New Mexico in July and attend, so if you are able, I hope you consider. The Lamley Group will be there, if that means anything. (It probably doesn’t.)
But make your decision quickly. Registration begins Jan 1, and the first 75 paid registrants get the uber-exclusive 1-of-75 Code 1 produced solely for them.

It is official and the contract is signed.
The 2013 Matchbox Collectors (MC) 11th Annual International Gathering of Friends Convention will be 19-21 July 2013 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Registration will begin at midnight (right at New Years) Mountain Standard Time on 1, January 2013.
Come meet the Mattel Team for this unparalleled event. Last year was our biggent and best event ever. It sold out quickly.
The top collectors from around the world will once again be in attendance. We had many new faces last year and they look forward to joining us once again. Come meet new friends and visit with those friends who you have meet at a previous Gathering.
The 1st 75 PAID dinner reservations will receive a special 75 piece Code 1 Dinner Model. We have increased the number of models due to the increased attendance we had last year and in order to make sure all registered guests get a model.

All proceeds will once again be donated to
Rachel’s Courtyard Children’s Hospital. Mattel will add a special item this year which will be raffled with the drawing to be held at the Gathering. Need not be present to win this one. Watch for details on how to participate.
