It’s here! Matchbox: The Movie is live on the Apple TV streaming channel. I was watching it on day 1. Well, I had to. I couldn’t wait any longer than that. My verdict. 10 out of 10. Yes, I am biased. I don’t care. I was sitting there with a big grin on my face. I want it to be a success. I want Matchbox to grow. Sure, the more it grows, the more money I have to spend. I am fine with it. I have been a loyal Matchbox fan for over 50 years now. I want it to succeed. It has had a lot of rough times. We are currently looking at a new elevated position for the brand. The team have mentioned that come next spring, Matchbox is going to be given a new push from Mattel. There are still lots of details to come. I cannot wait. Now, as the movie is now out, I had to do a movie themed blog report over on the Wheel Collectors website, didn’t I. This time, it was the turn of the Collectors movie set, which I decided to expand by running through a 5-pack at the end. If you click here, it will take you to my Matchbox Monday part of the website. I hope you enjoy my latest report.

Since the Collectors movie set was expanded with a 5-pack at the end, were there any cars in that pack that stood out as especially good fits for the movie’s villain theme? Block Blast
I think the Tacomas were a good fit.Although it is a shame they didn’t include a bike in the set. They were involved in the chase as well. Going premium could have added a rider. Remembering the old Honda Police, Hondarora and Harley with riders.
What about the 2024 Triumph Scrambler
That wasn’t a part of the Desert Chase, with the Tacomas and 4Runner. They were different bikes. The Triumph was one of the character’s choices for the late part of the film. I think we could have had 2 bikes made for the movie. Having seen it, I can see a lot of vehicles I wish they did.
