It’s funny. When Matchbox debuted the 5th mix of 2026 basic range, the factory accidentally missed 6 of the models, leaving just 9 new additions to be made. When they noticed the error, they added the extra 6 in, and in doing so, altered the boxes from E to F. There is probably a legal reason why they had to, as if they continued doing them with boxes that said E, and having notably different contents (nothing to do with whether it has a Super Chase or not), there may be certain repercussions. The legal world is fraught with weird and wonderful rules that could be bad if breached. But, switching from 9 to 15 models in a batch, and then follow it up with a batch of 8, you sort of wonder, could they have just said, leave those 6 and throw them in the next batch? Turn it into a batch of 14? I don’t know. There are probably butterfly effect scenarios over how it could affect things. Again, legal stuff. I am not somebody who knows the intricacies of legal stuff. I just hear legal stuff, and I am good. Anyway, Wheel Collectors sent over the 6th batch of 2026, which appears in boxes marked “G”. And this week, I will be talking about them on their website. If you click here, you will be taken to my Matchbox Monday corner, where I ramble on about so much, mainly Matchbox. I hope you enjoy my latest report.
