Matchbox Monday goes giddy for Moving Parts G

A collection of six toy cars displayed in a row, featuring various models and colors, including blue, red, gray, brown, and a turquoise convertible.

Holy moly. Out of 6 models in the 7th batch of Moving Parts for 2025, Matchbox has debuted not, not 2, but 5 new castings. Poor old Focus. It will likely be shoved out of the spotlight while everybody goes nuts for the new castings. Luckily, I get mine sent over by Wheel Collectors, as the UK doesn’t stock these at any major outlets. Which is a huge shame, as I absolutely love these. They are just freaking awesome! The best series in the Matchbox portfolio. As is the usual case, I will be posting my review of the batch over on their site, and if you click here, it will take you to my Matchbox Monday section, which showcases many items they have sent my way. I do appreciate what they do for me. I hope you enjoy my report.

  1. Excellent and thorough review as ever David, thank you for all the time and effort you put into these posts.
I do feel though you might have been a touch harsh with the SD1 casting. The bonnet closes with a heavy press down which clicks it into place.
As far as im aware the series 2 SD1 was never available in yellow and so i wouldn’t have expected Matchbox to have followed suit.
