Holy moly. Out of 6 models in the 7th batch of Moving Parts for 2025, Matchbox has debuted not, not 2, but 5 new castings. Poor old Focus. It will likely be shoved out of the spotlight while everybody goes nuts for the new castings. Luckily, I get mine sent over by Wheel Collectors, as the UK doesn’t stock these at any major outlets. Which is a huge shame, as I absolutely love these. They are just freaking awesome! The best series in the Matchbox portfolio. I do feel though you might have been a touch harsh with the SD1 casting. The bonnet closes with a heavy press down which clicks it into place.
As far as im aware the series 2 SD1 was never available in yellow and so i wouldn’t have expected Matchbox to have followed suit.
I might have been. But, I was really looking forward to it, and I was just a little upset with the final product.
