Okay, this is short and sweet. If you wanted a written account of the Matchbox 2026 Line Preview, feel free to head over to my usual Matchbox Monday blog on the Wheel Collectors website. This week, I finally managed to sit down and write it all out. There was a lot to take in. Plus, I managed to take in a couple of extra nuggets of information, to flesh out a few areas, that were not passed out at the Gathering. Many thanks to Tyler Charest at Mattel for helping me out. Of course, if you click here, it will take you to my Matchbox Monday area of their site. I hope you enjoy the read.

1980 Jeep Honcho is not the 1980 model year, i don’t know where did they get that from ? They state 1980 model year but front end of the model says otherwise, In reality it’s 1981+.
Totally agree about the Jeep. I had the real thing and that definitely is not a 1980. 1979-1980 had the horizontal grille then 1981-1984 had the vertical grille. I was so excited that somebody replicated my truck to be totally flabbergasted when I saw the card art. I still want the truck as the only difference from the real truck to the Matchbox is the grille. Of course I am now disabled and can’t get out and the scalpers are out in force.
Such a shame 1990 Corvette ZR-1, Datsun and Porsche Slantnose are Premium only, Collectors series is unavailable all the time, this means i wont be able to buy them anyway.
