Buckle-up buckaroos! It’s time once again for another edition of the Weekly 5-Pack where we round-up what’s hot this week in diecast.

- Surplus zamac hits the market
Late last week Mattel Creations sent out an email teasing the semi-regular RLC surplus sale that features previously released RLC drops. The sale was earlier today at 9am PST and featured some pretty heave hitters. The latest Monte Carlo and ’64 Impala low-riders were offered, as well as the RLC versions of the GMC Typhoon, Mazda RX, and Toyota Supra. But the crown jewel of the drop was thee 2024 Super Treasure Hunt factory set. Per usual, most everything has since sold out.
How many people were able snag one is another question, but let us know in the comments if you were able to bag anything from the sale.

2. Mini GT teases not-so-mini set
We’ve posted about this set when it was first previewed a few months back, but Mini GT gave us our first look and details on their spectacular 20-car set.

The set recreates the entire field of the 1984 Nürburgring Race of Champions where some of the greatest drivers from around the world competed in equal examples of the Mercedes 190 E. According to Mini GT, the set includes all 20 cars with participant names and individual car numbers and will be limited to 5,000 sets worldwide. One big thing to note from the release is that the models will not be available individually and that this set will be the only way to own the full grid. Price is TBD at the moment, but no doubt it will be a hot commodity no matter the cost.

3. That’s the sound of the policeeeee
Greenlight is pretty good at dropping new stuff almost weekly, and just a few hours ago they posted a few more new releases to their IG.

This round they introduced two new castings to their lowrider line – a fan-favorite Chevy C10 and a very alt Crown Victoria P71. The Chevy looks great in that patina-adorned black paint job, but how do you top an actual lowrider police car? Whether you’re a fan of the truck or the Ford, both are available for preorder through your favorite Greenlight preseller.
4. Tarmac heats up May with their first wave of releases
Tarmac seems to constantly have a flow of amazing releases, but the preview of their first May drop is especially stacked…

There seems to be a hot release from every category — JDM, German, F1, rally, drift, and a sweet Honda Racing hauler to top it all off. There’s legitimately not a bad casting in the entire release! We’ll take one of each please!
5. No pistons, no problem
While scrolling through Facebook a suggested post popped up for one of the most unique diecast products I’ve seen recently — a three panel 787B dissection style display.

According to the post via Unusual43, the set is made by Motorhelix and features the 1991 Mazda 787B 24 Hours of Le Mans casting in this unique display box. The post said the piece is limited to 300 units, and further investigation found it’s price to be around $250.
I have no idea whether it’s licensed or not, but either way the casting looks incredible and extra bonus points goes out to whoever green-lit that rad display style.
In-House Party
John/Lamley Group has been busy organizing his new diecast office, but still managed to sneak in an H-case unboxing:
Myself (64wheels) dropped a few videos, but the stand out was the feature on these two super premium Stance Hunters Fiat 642 Ferrari and Maserati racing transporters:
@championdjk dropped a video on some ultra-basic, possibly the worst ever diecast made:
And finally @doomusrlc opens a bunch of throwback Johnny Lightnings:
