The Weekly 5-Pack: March 31, 2025 Edition

It’s Monday (AGAIN) which means it’s time for another Weekly 5-Pack. We were so close to an April Fools edition of the 5-Pack, but with Hot Wheels officially announcing new Ferarris, they took alot of the fun out of what was always the best diecast April Fools content. Anyways, here’s what’s new in this week in diecast.

  1. Diecast and rat pizza at everyone’s favorite child casino

In a licensing agreement no one saw coming, like absolutely no one, Greenlight announced that they are teaming up with…….wait for it……Chuck E. Cheese. Yes, that Chuck E Cheese. Famous for cheap pizza, terrible kids, and the occasional parent brawl, CEC will be Greenlight’s latest brand collab…but what does that mean? Will we get M2-like CEC branded muscle cars or does GL have something else up their sleeves? A parade float with the animatronic animal band perched on top? It’s all unknown at the moment, but the second the first wave is teased we’ll add it to the 5-Pack.

2. DragTracks are back

If you’re a fan of racing diecast then you’ll really like this next one. Famed diecast drag racing track system DragTracks is going back into production, but this time with more features than before.

According to DragTracks’ website, the newest release of the track set will feature a reaction time counter, ET timer, and both Sportman and pro tree styles. You can read more about the upcoming track set and signup for the latest news at https://dragtracks.com/. I for one am very excited about their new release as I have one of their older track sets from the mid-2010s and have found them to be of pretty high quality — hopefully they’ll be released in time for the 2025 holiday season.

3. Diecasting for a cause

John aka The Lamley Group is getting ready to sell-off his latest wave of Lamley Curations trucks to benefit the rebuilding efforts in Maui.

The auction features 10 custom Hot Wheels Tacomas designed and built by @aloha_kine_customs and feature custom paint, a wheel and tire swap, and a whole lot of other incredible goodies. The trucks will be sold via the Whatnot app this Wednesday, April 2, 2025, with all the proceeds going towards the ongoing rebuilding efforts in Maui. Good luck to John on the sale and everyone bidding — hopefully the trucks will raise a good chunk of change for the people of Maui!

4. TLV hits the USA

In rather exciting news TOMY Company Ltd, parent company of Tomica brand diecast, announced that it’s products will soon be available to buy direct-to-consumer through their Tomica International website. That means us collectors here in the states finally get a sweet sweet taste of those TLV releases without the often high, over-the-seas-trip markup.

Prices and details are minimal at this time, but we hope to have an update in the coming weeks as more info becomes available.

Also shout-out to Lamley contributors @grahamheeps and @diecast13 for the heads-up on this one!

5. A less cheesy Greenlight collab

Keeping on the drag racing theme and less on the rat pizza theme, Greenlight also announced a much cooler (imo) and more car-centric license in the form of the NHRA.

The first releases teased are a set of four post lifts and a NHRA/Simpson branded semi truck. We could see the hauler doing pretty well, especially if future releases feature more NHRA team branding or car graphics. While the agreement was just announced, GL says (via their IG post on the subject) that you can already preorder the lifts and trucks on greenlighttoys.com.

The In-House Party: the Weekly Lamley Drops

The Lamley Group dropped several great videos featuring big rigs from various brands, but this one showcasing DCP First Gear trucks was next-level badass:

@doomusrlc did a video unboxing a ton of M2 product:

And to round out this week’s 5-Pack is @championdjk unboxing some killer OZ Wheels releases from down under:
