There’s just some diecasts that look right to me. Majorette’s GR Yaris is one of them. And so we can all enjoy looking at it I’m going to keep things as brief as possible in today’s Quick Look.
Whilst the matt grey paint does little to flatter the lines of the casting, it gels very well with the black 6-spoke wheels which are a perfect choice for this car.
Majorette’s wheel game is definitely getting stronger recently especially with the introduction of new designs last year. These wheels have been around for a while now but prove that smart wheel choice makes all the difference.
The usual Majorette features of suspension and opening parts (the doors in this case) are present, and there’s clear front lights and sharp decals for the rear lights and badging. This is a diecast with a beefy, mean look that is only exacerbated by the addition of the seperately moulded rear spoiler, an addition that would be an optional extra on the real car.
We already know that 2025 is going to be a bright year for Majorette, but even without the raft of new stuff that’s on the horizon the GR Yaris proves the brand have a strong catalogue to expand on.

For me this is easily among Majorette’s best castings of its current era, second only to the Alpine A110R.
I love this car in real life, but this is a god awful replica.
