David Tilley’s 2024 Top 10

It’s that time of the year again, when those of us at the Lamley Group make our choices for our vehicles of the year. As pretty much everyone knows, I am only interested in Matchbox. I have no clue over what any other brand creates. I keep it that way. But, there is a lot of stuff to go through, so I have gone with the same trio of Top 10 lists that I did last year. A Top 10 of new castings (not including Porsche), a Top 10 list of new looks on existing castings (not including Porsche), then just a Porsche Top 10 to finish. This is because there are so many Porsches released, I could just fill my list with those. And that would be a bit boring. But, before I get to these lists, I do want to do a few other random awards because….

The award for most dissapointed in a new casting goes to….

The MB1462 Porsche 911 Targa 4. When this was announced at the 2023 Gathering, it was one of my most anticipated of the new castings. I have been wanting a targa top 911 in the range for, well it feels like, forever! I was so excited. And then I got it.

It’s a body with a bubble on top. I was expecting the top to be open. That strip across the back of the roof should have been a part of the body, and then we should have had a rear window and a front window. With a big hole in the middle. You know, depicting the targa element. I was severely disappointed with the final model. I am usually a big fan of pretty much all the castings. Some have a few flaws, but this was just a big let-down to me. I don’t like it. It doesn’t look or feel like a targa. It feels like a regular 911 with the roof part being a part of the window. Which is a style of model I am not a big fan of either.

The award for missing an opportunity in colour….

The MB1333 Morris Minor 1000 Touring and MB1351 Morris Minor Saloon both came in burgundy this year. The Touring in Moving Parts, and the Saloon in a 9-pack. But, why were they such different shades?

I love both castings, but was thinking, due to them both getting a 70th Anniversary look last year, that we would see a matching colour scheme between the pair. So close, yet so far.

The award for missed opportunity in design….

Rival dry cleaners? I think they should have done the new MB1472 ’22 Nissan Townstar in the Moving Parts series and MB1216 Renault Kangoo Express in the MBX City Drivers IV 5-pack in the same livery. I think it could have been the start of a new recurring theme.

Either livery to be honest. It is not that either is a bad design. I like both designs. I just felt that with both arriving at a similar time, they should have matched. Had these been done in 2 entirely different years, I would not have cared. It would have been cool to dig the older one out to compare it to the newer one. But coming up with 2 very similar designs so close to each other felt like another missed opportunity.

The award for being too similar….

Is it me, or does the MB1438 Infiniti QX80 that debuted in this year’s basic range look similar to the MB1383 Lexus LX. What made them even more similar is that the Lexus was in the same metallic grey in this year’s Moving Parts as the Infiniti was in its debut look.

Of course, they are different vehicles. But remember, when they are being sold, they are packaged sideways in their packages. And both are just large SUV styles with a similar window arrangement on the side. I would have like a different debut colour for the Infiniti and save grey for another year.

The award for the biggest surprise debut….

Seeing the MB1390 ’77 Ford Courier Truck debut as a Convoy exclusive. That was completely unexpected. I knew in 2023 that they were going to put it in there, as they had a prepro shown. But, I was still expecting to see it debut earlier in something (likely basics). But, no, it arrived in the final Convoy batch of the year (to be reviewed next month).

I won’t go into all the details and do a review of it now. That is not for the awards.

The award for most awkward new opening feature….

I was a little sad to see how awkward this was. The MB1451 ’73 BMW 3.0CSL debuted in Moving Parts this year, and I was expecting them to open doors, as a homage to the original. But, they went with the front instead, as the bonnet/hood opens the other way. However, I don’t know if it was just mine, or in general, but this thing barely opens.

And it struggles to close properly. That is going to end up being broken. This was another model I was really looking forward to, but the end result? I could see their idea behind it. It was an unusual opening style, so why not? Well, because it doesn’t work very well.

The award for most fun livery….

The MB733 1955 Ford F-100 Panel Delivery was a part of the Coffee Cruisers 5-pack this year. It had a Rock ‘N’ Roll One Man Show side design. But….

It had Hot Rod Honkers on the other side. I love it when they do these different side designs. I was not expecting it, and it almost made my top 10. But, it was the most fun.

The award for best carry forward….

Are you not surprised? The MB423 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is a 2013 issue in the basic range. Hence me not including it in my top 10 list. But, they brought it back for the Highway Cruisers II 5-pack in 2024.

Which means it now sports wing mirrors. Okay, there are other things that were tweaked when the casting was tidied up, but the addition of wing mirrors was the most noticeable.

The award for the most confusion in 2024 goes to….

The MB1430 ’68 Chevy C10. Debuting in the 2024 basic range, it came in this see-blue look. It was lovely. It was fairly close to my top 10 of new castings.

But, then they marketed it as an 8-pack exclusive. Only a few months later, and literally in the next batch than when it was used as one of the extras in another 8-pack. Huh?

Finally, the award for the closest promotionals ever goes to….

Jim Gallegos chose the MB1297 ’57 Ford Custom 300 to be the dinner model at the 2024 Matchbox Convention. It sported a fire theme depicting the Corrales Fire Department, who were in attendance. A great model.

And, around the same time, Everett Marshall III chose the MB1374 ’57 Ford Country Sedan to be his model of choice for the annual Golf Tournament. As is always the case, he has the model depicting a fire theme based around his Burns Foundation (there is now a second pink one for Breast Cancer Research as well). But, with 2 fire themed ’57 Fords chosen, I thought that was a great coincidence. I expect them to be different, as promotional items, but not as similar in their final guise as this. They made for a great pairing.

Now, with the additional awards done, let’s get into the Top 10s. I will start with new castings.

Number 10 new casting – MB1435 ’23 Toyota GR Supra.

This was in a tight race for the final spot. I think this is a great little casting. But, it is very little. That is the only thing that stopped me from placing it higher. I know the Supra is not exactly large anyway, but most other models of this type tend to be just a tad larger. But, they did a great job with the casting details.

And I love the way that front window just wraps around. This was another of my desires for Matchbox. I didn’t think they would get the new Supra in there. But, they did. Kudos!

Number 9 new casting – MB1485 ’79 Chevy Blazer

This just about made it. The final Mattel Creations release of 2024, and arriving in December, it just made it before I made my final decision, and I was extremely impressed with it. This is a great casting.

I am not doing a review of it now. That is coming in, well, as I am mapping things out, February. In fact, you will see a number of models appearing here that I haven’t actually reviewed yet. Did they leave the best until the end? Well, yes, quite a few of the final 2024 items were incredible.

Number 8 new casting – MB1468 ’78 Ford Bronco

I am not attempting to start a Chevy vs Ford war here, but this ’78 Ford Bronco and the above ’79 Chevy Blazer are both similar castings, as they were direct competitors in the market at the time. I sat there with the 2 and contemplated which I like more. It was tough. They are both excellent.

But, I had to choose a favourite, and the Bronco just got the nod from me. I think the Bronco is a nicer vehicle than the Blazer. If I had to go with a real one, I would go the same way. Plus, I loved that both came with a plastic rear canopy section for an instant colour break. A great part to each casting.

Number 7 new casting – MB1433 ’64 Lincoln Continental

This was just awesome! I was not expecting it to look this nice, and to be honest, completely outdid my expectations. They did a fantastic job with this one. It is so long as well. One of the longest they have ever made (not as long as Cadillac One).

I wasn’t overly looking forward to this when it was announced. Now I have seen it, I am eagerly anticipating many more colours in the future.

Number 6 new casting – MB1414 ’69 Audi 100 Coupe S.

I am going to say this. I have been bugging them to make this for a few years now. And, when it arrived, it exceeded my expectations again. I love it. I was not overly keen on the debut colour. It is almost like a black and white picture, as there is only a little red in the rear tampo.

Plus, on the downside, they have given it a metal base. It is solid. It is heavy. It is a premium exclusive. Doh!

Number 5 new casting – MB1464 ’95 Chevy C1500

Pickup Truck of the year, this one. It is another cracking casting. The attention to detail is amazing at such small scale, and the opening features on this are very tightly wrapped into the model that you almost don’t see them.

But, there they are. Front and rear opening. This was just awesome. The only downside is that it was 1 per case, and was removed to accommodate the Super Chase in that batch. And yet, they left other models 2 per case. I could have done an award for daft decisions, but then that would take me to the final batch of Moving Parts, where we saw 8 brand new castings, and 1 had to go to make way for the Super Chase again. But, as you know, if you have read my blog reports, I do like complaining over how small Moving Parts batches are.

Number 4 new casting – MB1428 Morgan Plus Four

I can’t believe it has taken them so long to make one. These things have pretty much been going since the 1950s, and Morgan doesn’t like making many changes to them. The Plus Four is the latest, replacing the +4, and well, it is not a lot different. Because why do they need to make a big change? They are extremely popular. They have a waiting list as they are hand made.

A Plus Four, with a 4 on the front, at number 4 in my list? I just noticed it. It was a coincidence. I think they made another fantastic casting.

Number 3 new casting – MB1467 ’92 Buick Roadmaster Estate

This was another of those models that I was really pushing for them to do. When we had the Mercury Sable Wagon in the late 1980s, I was a big fan. I had grown up with the Mercury Cougars, and this was the next step in the evolution with the US wagons. But, it did not last, and I was really hoping that we would get another one. It wasn’t until 2006 when they finally did a Magnum. The 1990s were ignored. Okay, the US wagons in the 1990s sort of faded away, but there was a little bit of action to go from. I thought that the Buick was the best of them, and a manufacturer that Matchbox never really did a lot with.

Boy, did they deliver! This is beautiful. And I think the extra little bits that you get with Moving Parts allowed them to really go nuts with all the wood panel designing as well. This is utterly fantastic, and I am really looking to see how many they can do. The more, the merrier!

Number 2 new casting – MB1420 ’77 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

This arrived in the final Collectors batch of the year, and I am yet to do my review. It is coming early next year. But, I will cut to the chase. Freaking awesome! Again, the V8 was a model I was surprised Lesney never made. When I was a kid, I used to want a V8 in the range, and when they released the Vantage, I thought that was the perfect model. I waited, and waited, and finally, nearly 50 years later (along with more bugging), they did one.

I have had a look at the casting, and although it does sport a plastic base, I think this may also end up as something we only see in the premium ranges. The fact is, those bumpers are 2 small individual parts that are being slotted in front and rear, and then the model is riveted through them to hold them in place. With no opening features, that means this is sporting 6 parts (body, window, interior, base, front and rear bumpers). A basic range model rarely goes above 4. To get to 6? I don’t think they will any more. So, I expect this to stay premium only. That is my downside. I may not see that many releases, which will be the thing that upsets me about this one. But, what they did, especially creating the bumpers in that way, really makes it stand out. I think they have done a terrific job with this one, and I hope it is not too long before we get another one. Because, honestly, this really needs a British Racing Green outing.

Number 1 new casting – MB1446 ’83 Ford Fiesta Mk2

Is anybody surprised? I had been bugging Matchbox to make one for many years. At the 2022 Gathering, Abe said to me that they were looking at doing a Mk3. I said no, Mk2. When it was announced at the 2023 Gathering, it was confirmed. Mk2. yes!!!! OMG! I was so happy. I always wanted them to do a Fiesta. I don’t know why they never bothered with one in the past. The next size up? Anglia/Escort/Focus. Sure. Next one up from that? Cortina/Sierra/Mondeo. Yep. We saw a bunch. But, the little one? We had a Ford Courier in the late 1980s, which was basically a Fiesta as a van. But, not a Fiesta. A regular, standard, road going Fiesta.

This has given me the biggest smile of the year. Honestly. And I had to wait right until the end again. Last batch. Yes, it is still to be reviewed. one word, perfection! I love it. seriously. And they nailed the execution. It was a basic range model. That is all it needs to be (although if they released a Collectors or Mattel Creations with it, I will gladly take those as well). A few years back, they did a Capri, which was my number 1 new casting of the year. I don’t know why the classic European Fords are so cool to me. I guess I grew up with them. I am from the UK. I hope this runs and runs, and runs. Because, where has that Capri gone?

So, that is my 10 favourite new castings (not including anything Porsche). What about my favourite liveries on existing castings?

Number 10 new livery – MB1243 MBX Field Car (basic range)

Yep. I have a generic model in my top 10 list here. Or Matchbox original as they refer to them as. I do like this modern Field Car casting, and I am a big fan of doing things retro. There was a whole 5-pack dedicated to retro looks, but they did throw a number of them in the basic range as well. I put them all together, and one by one, I was knocking off looks. A couple of Beetle 4x4s came close, but this was the one that brought the biggest smile to my face. Bringing back a design that was created for a Ford Mini Pick Up with canopy in the 1980s for a new outing was awesome.

They even gave this blue windows, just like the Ford did in the 1980s. I am loving all this retro stuff they come up with. My biggest desire is for them to do a modern release using a certain Mr Fixer livery on a 1980s era Jeep Cherokee. I still smile looking at the poorly and well toasters on it. I really, REALLY, want them to bring that back for a future model’s release.

Number 9 new livery – MB733 ’55 Ford F-100 Panel Delivery (Collectors)

This came out in the first batch of Collectors this year, and this also has a retro looking design. But, in a different way. They were celebrating the 60th Anniversary of “The Endless Summer”. A documentary that came out in 1964, depicting people who were trying to find the perfect wave in 1962. Their silhouette logo has become an icon in itself, and is often parodied, or paid homage to in other posters and art work. The whole model was just a huge homage to that film.

Sure, they could have used a certain Land Rover with surfboards on the roof. It has only ever seen the 1 Mattel Creations outing. It had the boards on it. But, if they had, it would not have had the space to really pay justice to that iconic poster logo. A panel van has a much bigger space for advertising. So, I see why they went with the panel van to really depict the whole mood. I think it was a brilliant pastiche of the time.

Number 8 new livery – MB1363 ’22 Ford Bronco Sport (basic range)

When the Bronco launched in 2023, I was a little underwhelmed with it. It is quite a small casting, and the unusual roof depiction, with a plastic roof piece attached on the window, felt a little unusual. And the pale blue did not really do much for me. But, then they came out with this gorgeous green with gold wheels. Yes, it is still small. Nothing has changed. But, this shade of green is fantastic. It really made the model pop, and vastly improved its appeal to me.

Sometimes, they just need to get a look right to really drive a model home. This one was totally nailed. Okay, I am on board with the Bronco Sport now.

Number 7 new livery – MB1321 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV (Moving Parts Super Chase)

There were 8 Super Chase models released during 2024. Four in the basic range, and another 4 in Moving Parts. This was my favourite of the bunch. I love the orange, and all the logos on it. Including Falken. A real logo. And the fact that many of the wheels now look much like other wheels, but with real riders. I thought this was a great look, and the best this casting has seen. Again, this has enhanced the model so much, that I now like it even more.

If I were to rank the Super Chases (why not), this would be number 1, with the basic Opel Kadett C Coupe 2nd, closely followed by basic BMW 3-series Touring and Ford GT. The Moving Parts Pagani Huayra and VW Microbus then follow, moving on to the Jeep Gladiator and ’35 Ford Pickup bringing up the rear. I can rank anything. Give me a list of something, and I will rank it.

Number 6 new livery – MB1264 ’75 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible (Walmart Convertible series)

Well, you have not long seen the Bronco Sport. So, it is pretty obvious that this, coming in a fairly similar green look, is going to be in the mix somewhere. It is the nicest version released of this casting to date. I just loved the dark metallic green with pin striping. The tan interior worked well, and it had lashings of chrome.

This is one of those models that I wonder why it doesn’t get a wider release. After all, it debuted as a Walmart exclusive (twice), and then became a Target exclusive, and in 2024 was back as a Walmart exclusive, and we saw an 8-pack outing. 8-packs are not exactly worldwide. I have to source mine from the USA. 2025 sees one of the debut Walmart models carried forward into a 5-pack, so it finally gets a greater outing. But, why is this not in the basic range? It is a great casting. I am going to start picketing Mattel HQ to make this a basic range model!

Number 5 new livery – MB822 Mini Cooper S Cabrio (Walmart Mini series)

What is it with Walmart getting such beautiful releases? This was in the first set of the year, and I have to admit, I love the shade of teal on this one. It really suits it. Plus, it has stripes! There was a 5-pack issue in orange with stripes as well, but this colour is so much nicer. This little Mini has sporadic outings (debuting in 2011 in 2 looks, 1 in 2012, 1 in 2013, 1 in 2018, 1 in 2021 and 2 in 2024). It is another that I wonder why it doesn’t get the love. The Mini is pretty iconic, and even the modern BMW-engineered Mini is quite the icon. There is something about it, and this little casting was beautifully made. This teal outing is my new favourite (taking the place of the 2013 BRG).

The 2021 lavender comes in 3rd, with the other 2024 in orange 4th. The 2 debuts are next up (red then yellow), with the 2012 blue in 7th and the 2018 Globe Travellers bottom. I told you I can rank things.

Number 4 new livery – MB1332 ’75 Range Rover (Moving Parts)

This is a beautiful model. I love the olive green look, which was an iconic colour for the real Range Rover at the time. Again, this is my new favourite of the trio released to date, as it appears each year gets better and better. Last year’s Super Chase in orange was cool, and so was the debut mustard in 2022, but this elevates it to the next level. I don’t think it will get a better outing than this.

I don’t know why, but I get “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” vibes with it. I know, that show’s Range Rover is a newer model, and is a darker green, but I still see Dennis behind the wheel, getting into many mishaps.

Number 3 new livery – MB1173 ’69 BMW 2002 (8-pack exclusive)

There is just something about this one. I know, when I reviewed it, I was not keen on the grey for the base, rather than chroming it (the only thing I think could have improved it), but I still think this simple white look is such a cool release. As I was lining up my models, and pulling out models one by one, whittling things down, I came to the realization that this is seriously cool.

And the more I thought about it, the more I started to feel that it really did not matter whether it had the chrome base or not. I just loved it!

Number 2 new livery – MB1342 ’16 Holden VF Commodore SSV (basic range)

When they announced that this Holden was coming at the 2022 Gathering, I was really happy. We get very few Australian cars in the range. With Holden going now, we can’t have a modern one. But, we get a fairly modern one. Still room for diving further back (like a 1976 Holden HX Monaro GTS, or any of the 1970s era Sandmans). But, when we saw the new casting in 2023, it came as a police car. Yeah, it was cool, but I wanted a civilian one to come first, before they started coming up with alternates. So, when they showcased that 2024 would be a civilian one, I was really excited.

And it did not disappoint. I love this metallic terracotta colour. And the tampo printing was spot, including that little black lip on the tiny boot spoiler. It is the little things. I was seriously impressed. Don’t get me wrong. I had no issue with the police one last year. I would have been happy if they had simply switched their releases around. Civilian first, then go nuts with fun alternates. I will not be at all bothered with future non-civilian outings. We have had an awesome one. I am satisfied enough. However, I will still be gunning for more civilian ones to come (and, you know, a possible thought about getting a 1970s classic for future debuts).

Number 1 new livery – MB1358 ’04 Mazda RX-8 (basic range)

If anybody remembers my Top 10s list of 2023, they might recall that this casting was number 1 in the new castings category. It is freaking awesome! It came in black for the debut outing, but this year saw them bring out this amazing red one. It is beautiful.

I did not think there was much that they could do to make the model any better. But, I have to be honest, red is my favourite colour. This is a lovely solid red, with simple front and rear tampo printing. I don’t think they could improve on this one. A stellar outing.

Well, I did this last year, and I am doing it again. I pulled the Porsches out for their own rundown. Of course, this includes new looks and new castings all in one go. And no targa!

Number 10 Porsche – MB1305 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (basic range)

Matchbox released 2 different Cayennes in 2024. This white one, and there was also a green one in the Collectors series. I put the 2 side by side, and I have to admit, I prefer the basic. It costs less, has a little less detailing, and comes with plastic wheels and not real riders. Oh, and the Collectors one has that box thing included (as if I care).

But, a bit like that BMW I showcased above, this is a very simple and understated look. I think they nailed it.

Number 9 Porsche – MB729 Porsche 911GT3 (basic range)

I am shocked at how long this model has been plodding along in the basic range. Well, actually, scratch that. It is a Porsche 911! Of course it will run and run. This model is in ivory for 2024, and amazingly is so much different to every other outing released since it debuted back in 2007! And I think they continue to come up with amazing looks for it. And, even though it is an older generation of 911, I do not see any problem with its continued use.

I hope this is not the last time it is seen in the basic range.

Number 8 Porsche – MB1300 Porsche 918 Spyder (5-pack)

This model was in bright green in the basic range, and saw a lovely blue outing in the MBX Electric Drivers 5-pack. I have to say, that blue is amazing. This is my favourite look for the 918 to date. The 2023 yellow is second, with the green from this year’s basic range in 3rd, ahead of the grey 2022 debut.

This shade of blue just feels so rich and thick. It really gives this model a classy look. Sometimes, you do have to look beyond the basics for some of the best issues.

Number 7 Porsche – MB1367 Porsche Macan S (basic range)

However, some basic range models do appeal to me. This is a mid-orange for the standard outing (it debuted last year as a Super Chase). I love this orange look, and it suited it well. As an SUV, I do think they look better in bright colours.

I think I actually prefer this to the Super Chase. Again, sometimes a simple look works better than giving a model all the bells and whistles.

Number 6 Porsche – MB729 Porsche 911GT3 (5-pack)

This one was so good, it appears twice! Yes, just like with the 918, the 5-pack outing for this is nicer than the basic. It came in the Autobahn Express V pack (which for some inexplicable reason is now Autobahn Express VI in the first batch of 2025). I love this milk chocolate outing. Hmm! Chocolate.

I am seriously hoping that doing 2 911GT3’s in 2024 is not Mattel’s way of sending it out in a blaze of glory. It still has life. I am down for more.

Number 5 Porsche – MB1330 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (Moving Parts)

Ooh! Look at that. A proper roof. Yes, I will likely never get over the targa. The current generation of 911 launched with this casting in the 2022 Moving Parts series, and now in its third year, comes in this lovely blue look. Okay, the debut was red, and is still my favourite outing. But, this is an easy second, ahead of last year’s charcoal. I love the shade of blue (which is very similar to that one that will no longer be named).

But, this is another stellar outing for this casting. Side by side with other 911s, it does feel a bit small. But, on its own, it looks fantastic.

Number 3 Porsche – MB1422 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet (basic range)

I was really in 2 minds over which way to put numbers 2 and 3. I had a big internal debate with myself over which was better than the other. Then I flipped a coin. Ha ha! No, I didn’t flip a coin. I ended up with this in the number 3 slot. The new casting of a Carrera Cabriolet of the current generation I am guessing will replace the older Carrera Cabriolet. Which is a shame in a way, but is also really cool in another. I do think we should have plenty of modern 911s in the range. Unlike the other thing that does not get named any more, this was a fantastic release. It looks amazing, and it debuted in red!

I love it! I am seriously looking forward to many more over coming years. Just remember, the last Carrera Cabriolet debuted in 1999, and has seen many outings over a quarter of a century, so if this is not still in rotation in 2049, I will be seriously disappointed.

Number 2 Porsche – MB1308 Porsche 911RSR (Leipzig promotional)

It’s funny. This casting debuted last year as a Mattel Creations exclusive. It didn’t even make my Top 10 Porsche list. It was nice, but I was not overly loving it. However, this one? Wow! Just wow! It was created as a dinner model for the European Convention in Leipzig this September. It was based on the “Pink Pig” livery that Porsche themselves created, but was a Matchbox original design that paid homage to it. And it worked so well.

It really helped by receiving full tampo printing. And those wheels getting the Falken logo on them was icing on the cake. This severely jumped this casting up in my esitmation.

Number 1 Porsche – MB1460 Porsche 356 (Moving Parts)

I am a huge Porsche lover. Out of all them, the 911 is my favourite. Yet, the number 1 Porsche release for 2024 is not a 911. Of course, the 356 could be classified as the car that inspired it, as the 911 was basically its replacement. So, I think it is close enough in that respect. But, when it came to this one, I was completely blown away. This is pretty much a work of art in miniature.

With that little opening engine compartment showing off the little engine inside. Technically, due to the curved window at the front, this is the 356A, although they didn’t put that down on the models. You can see under that engine, it says Porsche 1600 Super. That was how models were sold. This is why it just says it is a 356. So that is a 1600cc engine in there. Much smaller than what 911s get. The smallest 911 engine is a 2 litre. However, they did do a cheaper 912 in the early days that did see a 1.6 litre engine. I just think that this was a serious work of art, and that white was such a simple debut look. It is stuff like this that shows that the guys at Mattel can work wonders.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little rundown. Or should I say, overly complicated rundown. Ha ha! But, one more thing. If I was to pull out the winners from each of the 3 categories….

The Mazda would trail in 3rd, but the little Fiesta would still come in 1st! WTF! Yes, I know. A little Fiesta has beaten out a bunch of Porsches to my coveted number 1 slot! I bet people were a little surprised with that one.

So, that is it. My rundown is done. So many cool models and castings did not make the cut. I hope they don’t feel too blue about it. Oh yes, I went with the awful pun.

But, I have to say, there were so many favourites, it took me quite a while to narrow things down to a top 10. Many worthy candidates just falling short. I wonder what 2025 will bring? I have no idea at the moment where my Top 10s will be. But, I have a year to plan that out. I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas period, and welcome 2025 with a smile. Stay safe and happy.
